This is a really lovely book with nice pictures and easy to follow guides for drawing a-z.

I would say it is better suited to a 4-5 year old about to start school than 3 year olds. I found mine got distracted as there are so many other letters on each page, it feels more of a word book than just alphabet. I was getting comments like “oh mummy, that’s not “a” that’s a “m” for mummy… because on the a page you practise writing it in the words arm, map, and lamp. The letter a is missing ready for you to draw in, but for little eyes, they saw lots of “m”’s on the page when you’re telling them it’s all about the letter “a”! 🙂

All in all, good fun. We have some time on the weekend to go through these for a few mins together. So easy to get lots of use with as easy to wipe clean by either of us.

My little one has just started reception so this was absolutely perfect. Her had trouble sitting still sometimes and paying attention but he managed to sit for around 20-25 minutes with me going through this book. The pictures and dotted lines made it easier for him to understand what he was doing whilst also giving him the confidence to keep trying if he got it wrong as there is also blank spaces for them to try it freehand.
The marker is a bit hit and miss, sometimes the colour is deep but sometimes it would appear a little faded. Wipes off pretty well but it doesn’t come with anything to wipe it off so you would need to find something or purchase an eraser separately. It did leave a few streak marks but after spraying once with water it was like new again.
Overall I would highly recommend this book for anyone with young children or those that need to practice hand writing.

This book is a great resource for your children. The colours are vibrant and packed with information.

The pen is a great idea to include and allow children to draw without worrying about mistakes. It is like a whiteboard pen where you can wipe markings away with a kitchen roll tissue. However it depends on how long the pen lasts before running out and requiring a new pen.

Overall it’s a great resource and hopefully it lasts a long time.

The book comes with a special pen that allows my child to trace and write the letters. The wipe-clean feature is a genius addition, letting my little one practice again and again without wasting any pages. It’s economical and environmentally friendly!

The book is well-structured, introducing the letters gradually and in a way that is easy for a young child to grasp. The colorful illustrations accompanying each letter are engaging and make the learning process enjoyable. The book maintains a playful and vibrant theme throughout, keeping my child’s interest intact.

What’s great is that the book doesn’t just stop at letter recognition. It guides my child to write the letters, ensuring a more comprehensive learning experience. The step-by-step approach is perfect for a child’s developmental stage.

As a parent, I appreciate the durability of the book. The pages are thick and sturdy, with a spiral binding that can withstand the handling of an excited toddler. It’s made to last!

In conclusion, this is a fantastic resource for parents looking to introduce their little ones to the world of letters. It’s engaging, durable, and tailored to a child’s learning journey. A great addition to any young learner’s library!

Great book from trusted brand to help with letter formation. I appreciated that the correct formation order was included though more scaffolding to build independence would have been even better (trace faint letter, move on to complete the dash and end with independent writing of the letter).

Additionally it’s important to remember the children will be taught the phonetic alphabet so don’t get too caught up on how the text in the book

I can’t tell you how much my 5 year old grandson likes these type of books. He never sits still, yet this will hold his attention for quite some time. I think 4 or 5 is about the right age for a child to find it easy enough to trace the letters.

There are red dots and arrows throughout the book on the traceable letters to show you where to start writing.

There are beautiful illustrations and descriptions to engage with the learning process.

I love that the book comes with a special ink pen and is wipe clean so that your child can practice over and over again. This will also be useful if you have a second child that you can pass the book onto.

This is a great learning tool and an absolute bargain at £3.49 and it would have got 5 stars if only the pen had had an eraser on the lid for convenience. I used a dry piece of kitchen roll to erase the ink and it wiped it away very easily.

This is an excellent book for practicing early letter writing skills. The fact it’s wipeable means you can keep practicing and getting better and better. Works nicely with the Early Years curriculum, or for a bit of catch up for older children. It’s engaging and fun.
