My Son likes the format of the CGP books, of which he has many, with clear content. However, upon purchasing this particular book, one of the topics that my Son is studying for GCSE is not in the book – Anglo Saxon and Norman England. I have contacted CGP about this but told to purchase a separate Topic guide as they cannot produce a book covering all topics for GCSE and it’s down to the most popular topics studied. I feel they should clearly state this before purchasing or on the cover as it would not have even crossed my mind to check if a GCSE revision book covering GCSE History would not cover all topics studied, as I am sure I am not alone on this!

This book is not suitable for the Edexcel 2024 gcse exam. We now have a book paid for that we can’t use. It was advertised as being suitable. Disappointing.

Despite advertising ideal for 2024 exams, the version of the book received from Amazon states HER41 (at the back of the book below the barcode) unlike the code for the book directly from the supplier which is an updated version (HER42). The revision pages were also the same as the topic guides (which I have) but minus the activities.

Ummmmm bought in good faith, as I’ve always been a fan of these books but this book says it covers GCSE History for 2023 and 2024 exams yet doesn’t cover enough of the Civil War in the USA – e.g. the sit-ins and Freedom rides of 1961. Not impressed.
