AS THE WORLD SLEEPS, THE NIGHT WARRIORS FIGHT
For generations, the Night Warriors have used their powers to enter the dream world and defend humanity. Now, they face their most terrifying enemy yet: Isabel Gowdie, witch and mistress of Satan.
Entombed for three centuries, her powers have grown stronger. Now her evil influence seeps through the earth, carrying the seeds of the Night Plague, a disease that twists souls into madness.
The only way to stop it is to find Isabel Gowdie’s hidden prison. But time is short. Each night, more and more people fall to the Plague, and two of the Night Warriors are already infected – they just don’t know it yet…

Graham Masterton is one of my favourite authors. I have loved every single book I have ever read that he has written and this book does not disappoint. Although this was not my favourite Masterton book, I was thoroughly hooked from the first page to the last.
When I read this book I didn’t realise that it was part of a three set series, which is great because I didn’t feel like I was missing any part of the story just because I hadn’t read the previous two books.
All the characters in this book were very well thought out and brilliantly detailed, with a depth to them that made me feel like I knew them very well.
Graham Masterton’s descriptions, as always, are second to none and I found myself nervously biting my nails during certain parts. This was especially true during the sub plot where the main characters enter Knitted Hood’s house and are first introduction to the ‘Boy Dogs’.
I particularly loved the way that time kept moving forwards and back, and enjoyed the descriptions of old London.
It is difficult to find fault with this book, however, if I did have to pick something I would say that the fight scenes were rather long and drawn out.
Overall I would definitely recommend this book to all horror fans!

The same Masterton format here, fear, truth, suspense. Not my favourite I’ll admit, but still worth buying. For the record, out of all the Masterton books I have read, I have never been dissapointed.
