…it probably should be 4 stars, because if you’re pedantic there are definately issues **minor spoilers below**:
– the timelines are all over the place (finding Jamie, the orphanage build, the thesis completion…)
– the resolution with Jamie is so quick and easy you can’t contemplate why it took 30 years…
– I couldn’t really track the romance – the kisses/sex read like a couple of isolated incidents, but then when they broke up it implied they’d been sharing a bed every night…
– and why oh why is there a blonde on the front cover…
Also, the whole reason Alex allowed Devon to move in with her was due to the bet, so what was the secret Hayden promised?!
BUT! The actually story is really cute, I liked Devon and Alex and seeing the previous characters. And it is fiction after all! So read it and enjoy it (just don’t expect everything to perfectly align!)
