This book is simple to understand the explanations are clear and general chapter layout is ideal for the novice to expert researcher. This is a book to keep in your personal library it is an essential text for nursing research modules. Don’t borrow it from the library just buy it!!! You will be reading it again and again throughout your research module.

As good as the first edition for clarity of explanation with more points added in this edition. It covers the basic principles in a very readable form with good clear explanations of research concepts. This is one of the best expositions I know on the topic. Given the date when is the third edition due?

This book will take you through the process of research and how it can relate to your practice as a Registered Nurse. Having just started a Research Nursing post this book has been amazing in explaining in terms I need to know, in a way anyone can understand, well worth buying.

I ordered this book just before Christmas so wasnt expecting a quick delivery, however it arrived within a few days so was very pleased with that; it was also in very good condition when it did arrive. I used this book for my second year research project, I found the book very useful and well written, and best of all it wasn’t all jargon! I did, however, find that a lot of it was geared towards quantitative research and only seemed to touch on qualitative here and there. This being said, I was able to use some useful references from within it and I’m sure it will come in useful during my 3rd year!
