I was disappointed because I bought this book as a teacher as an updated edition, but all the examples are the same as in the last edition. It was a waste of money really. There is just a small piece about the changes in the marking of the writing test. The original book is very good, but I found the description of this new edition misleading.

Overall good, but I’ve found some clear mistakes of answers in a reading section as of now . This is an official book but includes a few/ several errors. That’s a shame.

There is a problem accessing audio files from the Kindle version. The link in the text does not work and neither do attempts to log in via Kaplan mobile App (you are asked for additional information which is unanswerable by those not taking courses from Kaplan). This recuces the value of the book by 50% since the practice test cannot be accessed either. I assumed that this would be an enhanced ebook where links in the text took you seemlessly to online audio (an established format that works well). Even if links did work you would need to use two devices simultaneously to listen to audio and access text. Text itself is useful.
Update: I have just tried to log in after one year to use the sound files again – only to find that my access has expired! So my book purchase/ Kindle purchase only gave me time limited access to the sound-files – so no use whatsoever if you want to use them in teaching on a regular basis. This was NOT stated before I purchased so I feel cheated by this international education provider.

I offer this book for exam techniques and making practice. very useful but there are some mistakes, for example in some parts it says there is 30 seconds for listening part c to read questions. However, you have 90 seconds in normal exam. In addition to this, headlines of subsections are confusing. Therefore it can cause some misunderstanding. So my rating is 4.

I bought the kaplan oet book from amazon. I tried to find the listening tracts as the book suggested but i couldn’t find out the tracks. I contacted kaplan website help they gave me a link but the link wasn’t opening then I was told if the link isn’t working the website doesn’t support anymore so how can I practice without audio. This is waste of my time, If there isn’t audio I would like to send the book back and refunded my money. ????
