My beloved cat Marmalade crossed Rainbow Bridge in September 2020, after a long battle with gastrointestinal issues and ultimately cancer.
I waa heartbroken, and in the depths of grief. I decided to purchase all of Kate McGahan’s books, for comfort and healing, and to make sense of what happened to me.
This book is written from the perspective of the beautiful Jack McAfghan, who was the beloved cherished angel animal of Kate McGahan.
I purchased this book because Kate is an experienced grief counsellor, in end of life care. After reading this book, and I am re-reading it, I felt healed and comforted, I realised love is eternal and death is not the end.
It is well written and informative from a grief perspective and written compassionately from the point of view of Jack McAfghan.
I highly recommend Kate’s books as an instrument of healing and making sense of heartbreak.

I lost my Ted a month ago and have been beside myself with grief that I never knew was possible ???????? I came across Jack McAfghan fb page and ordered this book a couple of weeks ago. It’s the only thing that has helped me with my loss ???? It’s a blessing and I’m so grateful I found this book. It really makes a huge difference, it gives you a different perspective and cope better with the loss ❤️ I was able to start sleeping again ❤️

I never normally write review but all of Jack mcAfghan are written and are so easy to read. You pick up on so many messages which we all need to learn. This is a beautiful book like all of the others and have helped me so much I. My own grief. but so so pleased I read it.
I read the entire book in under 3 hours, just couldn’t put it down.
I’ve learned a great deal and now understand so much and I am thankful for all of Jack AcAfghan Books x

Got this book following the loss of my dog.. I was absolutely devastated and looking for some answers. This book is brilliantly written and addresses all the feelings, questions and emotions associated with the loss of a beloved pet. Thoroughly recommended.

I really recommend this book! It was coming to the day I was due to say goodbye to my beloved cat. Read this book within 24 hrs of receiving it and honestly wouldn’t have got through saying goodbye/the euthanasia appointment without reading this. I am now going to buy the other books in this series which will hopefully further get me through the grieving process and make me feel closer to my cat on the other side. Thankyou Kate! ❤
