The USA Today bestseller by the star sales speaker and author of The Sales Blog that reveals how all salespeople can attain huge sales success through strategies backed by extensive research and experience.   Anthony Iannarino never set out to become a salesman, let alone a sales manager, speaker, coach, or writer of the most prominent blog about the art and science of great selling. He fell into his profession by accident, as a day job while pursuing rock-and-roll stardom.   Once he realized he’d never become the next Mick Jagger, Iannarino turned his focus to a question that’s been debated for at least a century: Why are a small number of salespeople in any field hugely successful, while the rest get mediocre results at best?    The answer is simple: it’s not about the market, the product, or the competition-it’s all about the seller. And consequently, any salesperson can sell more and better, all the time.   Over twenty-five years, Iannarino has boiled down everything he’s learned and tested into one convenient book that explains what all successful sellers, regardless of industry or organization, share: a mind-set of powerful beliefs and a skill-set of key actions, including…   ÛSelf-discipline: How to keep your commitments to yourself and others. ÛAccountability: How to own the outcomes you sell. ÛCompetitiveness: How to embrace competition rather than let it intimidate you. ÛResourcefulness: How to blend your imagination, experience, and knowledge into unique solutions. ÛStorytelling: How to create deeper relationships by presenting a story in which the client is the hero and you’re their guide. ÛDiagnosing: How to look below the surface to figure out someone else’s real challenges and needs. Once you learn Iannarino’s core strategies, picking up the specific tactics for your product and customers will be that much easier. Whether you sell to big companies, small companies, or individual consumers, this is the book you’ll turn to again and again for proven wisdom, strategies, and tips that really work.

I’ve read many sales books over the years that I’ve found useful, both as a sales person and now as a director of sales – from Mark Hunter’s High Profit Selling to Jeb Blount’s Fanatical Prospecting. Anthony Iannarino’s The Only Sales Guide You’ll Ever Need takes sales to another level. It’s an absolute must-read for anyone who wants to achieve success and improve value to their customers.

Anthony’s excellence advice ranges from storytelling, optimism, dealing with rejection, belief, studying your wins and losses and working on your strategy. He also recommends more reading at the end of each chapter from different authors. Every successful sales person I’ve met invests in sales books. The Only Sales Guide You’ll Ever Need will make a difference to your career.

This is one of the best sales books any sales person could read. If you are serious about improving your selling mindset (which is critical), and you want to ditch the old school ABC mentality. This is for you. Pay particular attention to Anthony’s approach to closing sales. No gimics, no silly tactics. But, a more nuanced and accurate reflection of what actually happens. It is all about gaining mini-commitments throughout the Sales Process.

Didn’t knew anything about sales, wanted to learn what it takes to be a good salesperson overall without having to buy a dozen books about different sales subjects.

This book is exactly what I needed, it has everything a beginner should learn.

Also, it’s very well organized and edited which in turn will make your reading much faster and your learning deeper.

And it doesn’t helps only mastering your sales, it helps to improve your personal and specially your profissional life.

If somehow I end up becoming a salesperson I will know that no matter what others books out there say, if I can’t follow this tips I will be always a low quality salesman.

This is a must for all sales people. The title is perhaps a little misleading. The author admits that his emphasis is perhaps more on having the correct mindset rather than reviewing basic sales techniques, such as closing or negotiation. If you want to learn about basic selling, you should probably look elsewhere. The main strength of this book is that it really brings out what it takes to become a successful sales person. It is the sort of book you need to read and re-read regularly to keep you motivated.

The practical insights in this book reveal the disciplines necessary for life, not just selling as part of your daily responsibilities. The ethics and integrity outlined by the author are key lessons for those sales people willing to compromise those values in the pursuit of a fast buck.
