Excellent book showing how the posters are designed and painted
by Pete F.
An excellent, informative little book that goes into quite some detail about the author’s inspirations, methods and materials used.
This style of artwork is of great interest to me and this book is the first that I’ve found to cover it in any detail. There is the additional bonus of some step-by-step tutorials for those wishing to recreate poster art in the author’s style.

What a beautifully put together book!
Not only is it an excellent guide to help you create your own wonderful travel posters (with genuinely helpful hints and tips), it’s a visual delight to explore with gorgeous photography and illustrations to show off Susie’s own stunning collection of prints.
A must buy – and would make an excellent Christmas present!

Useful for art education
by H Brialey
This book is probably most useful for beginners in acrylic painting and contains much useful information and tips on what essential equipment to buy and good alternatives to expensive kit too. More experienced painters could usefully use the book to try out, what for most, would be a different style of painting. There are 6 step by step exercises to enable you to put into practice the suggestions given earlier in the book. I intend using some of the techniques (which are transferable) to working on a textile art quilt at some point in the future. The book is colourfully set out. The only minor criticisms that I have are: occasionally text is ‘lost’ on a coloured background; over use of exclamation marks which I found jarring; font size would benefit from being larger. I don’t think you would be disappointed if you purchase this book.

New to painting or not painted for a while, the exercises are easy to follow.
If you enjoy doing poster art and love trying new medium, great to do with your acyrilic paint pens or posca pens.
Enjoy ????????
