I had my eye on this gorgeous book series for a while so just recently I purchased the set to share with my son including the most recent ‘Bugs’ book.
The artwork combined with the die-cuts make these books absolutely stunning. We have loved looking at and naming all the minibeasts. We also love the simple rhyming text throughout the story.
‘If you look down towards the ground,
A world of wildlife can be found.
And now that spring is in the air,
New life is blooming everywhere.’
We loved following the seasons through the book too. This would be the perfect book to have in an Early Years/KS1 class or library. There is so much to enjoy and so much language to explore (from explaining the seasons to explaining what it means to hibernate.) I wish I had this book when I used to do a minibeast topic at school.

These are such a beautiful find we are blessed by them especially “The Moon” .
Finest illustrations and lilt to the read
We love the message and the beautiful ways that the Faces of Mother Moon we demonstrated.
Myself anf Sunshine we thought they smelled absolutely divine.
Such a soothing scent though my Sunshine said it smelt like something Lush and edible I agree.
Water for the soil/Soul.
And importantly for us Books written with POC in mind.
We are looking for the rest lol

These books are beautiful and work really well alongside the Exploring Nature with Children curriculum. They’re great value in this set too. My only gripe is that the moon phases aren’t correct in the Moon book. Such a wasted opportunity!

This set of four books is just lovely, with beautiful illustrations. Simple yet very effective learning tools for children, as they’re such a joy to read and reread. Large books too, so although they don’t necessarily fit in the baby bag when you’re out and about, they have stunning impact. A set to keep and treasure.
