Unusual recipes which made a great gift for a friend who likes to cook.

A well written cookery book with recipes which appear easy to follow
by La Belle
After watching Saturday Kitchen the other week I loved the recipe that Sabrina did so I have bought the book. However, I have to confess that due to doing too much with everything over the last few weeks I have not done any of the recipes including the one I saw on the programme, but once I get myself sorted I will certain do some.

It’s a very rare thing that I want to make every recipe in a book, hence my extensive collection with hundreds of bookmarks. This book is a revelation. I have come across some of Sabrina’s recipes before in magazines and loved them (especially the sticky pork belly slices which are also in this book).
Sure I may have to visit an expensive supermarket to stock up on some rarer slices and pastes, but as the recipes use the same ones they will not go to waste!
Try something different.

This is a fabulous cookbook. Quick and easy meals with the occasional unusual ingredient. I often buy a cookbook and may only use 1 or 2 recipes, here I have tried the majority and they have all turned out fabulously. I’ve since got a copy for my sister too, highly recommend it.

Had friends and family over last night so decided to cook 5 dishes from this book. Lamb, date and chilli stew, halloumi fatteh, chorizo, potato, sweet corn, tomato and onion traybake, pomegranate chicken wings and harissa & lemon roasted chicken thighs. I cooked the lamb stew the day before and rehqted and all the prep was done on the day. Recipes were easy to follow and ingredients easy to source. Each dish was absolutely delicious! Can’t wait to try more dishes. Would definitely recommend.

A friend had this book and we prepared around 6 dishes in one night – I thought it was ambitious but the recipes are quick and easy to follow not to mention really tasty. I have now bought this book and am deciding whether to keep or give away as a xmas pressie!

Having now cooked about 50% of the meals in this book I cannot fault it – I buy a variety of different cook books from a range of different cuisines – this is by far the best – it prompted me to go and get all the previous books – this one is still my favourite. Recipes are easy to follow and delicious I have not found even one dud which is unusual – Cannot wait for the next book from this fantastic and inspiring cook
