My pupils and I love this series – the pieces are fun and tuneful.

I get a very nice book because they sent the 2 books in the mail box and they creased it a lot. I am not happy for that but other wise that thanks! (I took a photo of the crease damage the crease is the same as Piano Star 2 as well as the 1st book)

Abrsm now suggest this as an alternative book for prep test pieces. As a piano teacher, I find these are perfect for my student – more simple to read/understand than the set pieces in the Prep test book. Also a useful tool for helping those transition from Prep test to grade one .
Follow with Piano Star 3.
Lovely illustrations too.

I like this series especially the duets that come with them! Only suitable for young children which is a shame.

Good for beginners

I have taught piano for nearly 40 years and have always found a lack of fun and interesting repertoire once the beginner courses have ended. I have always mixed and matched and chosen pieces from a range of sources, but now – in 3 wonderful books, the adventure continues in a most inspiring and entertaining way right up to Grade 1! They are beautifully presented with bold print, lovely pictures, engaging tunes with wonderful titles and even handy comments to help the pupil! A great addition to the beginner piano repertoire! Thank you!
