I recently had the pleasure of diving into “The Actually Delicious Airfryer Cookbook” an incredible air fryer recipe book. From the moment I opened its pages, I was captivated by the wealth of information it provided.
The first thing that struck me about this book is its sheer informativeness. Poppy has done a remarkable job in explaining the ins and outs of air frying, making it accessible to both beginners and seasoned cooks. The detailed tips and tricks offered throughout the book are invaluable for anyone looking to harness the full potential of their air fryer.
But what truly sets this book apart are the recipes. They are nothing short of awesome! Poppy’s creativity shines through in each dish, and I found myself trying out recipes I never would have dreamed of attempting in an air fryer. From mouthwatering meat dishes to delectable vegetables and delightful desserts, this book covers it all.
One of the standout features of this recipe book is the ease of following the instructions. The step-by-step guidance ensures that even those with minimal cooking experience can whip up restaurant-quality dishes with confidence. I appreciate how the author simplifies complex techniques and provides clear directions, making the cooking process a breeze.
In a world where recipe books can sometimes feel repetitive, “The Actually Delicious Airfryer Cookbook” truly lives up to its name. Poppy has put a unique take on air fryer recipes and breathes new life into this cooking method, inspiring culinary adventures that are both exciting and delicious.
In conclusion, this is a must-have for anyone who owns an air fryer or is considering getting one. It’s not just a recipe book; it’s a culinary journey filled with delightful surprises and accessible expertise. I can’t recommend it enough, and I can’t wait to explore more of these fantastic recipes.

I stumbled upon “Poppy Cooks: The Actually Delicious Air Fryer Cookbook” with high expectations, having followed Poppy’s culinary journey since seeing her guest on the Sorted Food YouTube channel.
First off, the presentation of this book is top-notch. The beautifully printed pages adorned with mouthwatering images and Poppy’s witty anecdotes make this cookbook a joy to flip through. It’s not just about cooking; it’s an experience.
What truly sets this book apart is its versatility. Poppy has unlocked the full potential of the air fryer, offering recipes that span from the familiar to the truly unexpected. The best part? They’re all incredibly delicious. It’s like a treasure trove of culinary delights waiting to be explored.
Another highlight is the book’s balance. Whether you’re a novice or a seasoned cook, you’ll find recipes perfectly suited to your skill level.
But here’s the real magic: many of these recipes can be combined to create unforgettable shared dinners or ‘fakeaways.’ I’m eagerly anticipating the Chinese crispy beef, prawn toast, and wonton combo. It’s the kind of innovation that keeps home cooking exciting.
And for those with a busy lifestyle, most of these recipes can be whipped up in under 20 minutes, making them perfect for those hectic weeknight dinners.
In conclusion, this book is a firm favorite in my collection, and I think it’ll quickly become a kitchen staple. I bought a Ninja dual zone air fryer and didn’t have a clue how to use it. I saw the other books, with seemingly fake reviews and finally settled on this due to her being a real person with a history!
I wanted to know how to do simple things in the air fryer – like chips! The Ninja manual has a whole table of how to make chips of all sizes and types, and requires you to soak the chips before cooking to reduce the starch. I tried three times but they didn’t work and I was very disappointed – wasn’t this the main selling point of an air fryer!! How could Ninja themselves not know how to cook chips!!! Poppy Cooks book gave me a simple way to make chips, without soaking, that I followed exactly (buying Maris Piper potatoes too) and I ended up with amazing good-chip-shop-like chips. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside chips! I gave up with the Ninja book and went to Poppy’s book instead.
I’ve made the chicken shown on the front cover four times now, but without the skewers as I didn’t have any, just as a protein snack with tomato ketchup for me and my son. Made a big batch and cook it up on demand over the next 2-3 days. Absolutely delicious, spicy, and perfect every time. So full of flavour from plain old chicken breast.
I really like that she also puts simple things in the book, because I don’t trust the Ninja recipe book at all. For example, the jacket potatoes came out perfectly.
I’m really looking forward to making a bunch of other recipes in the book, like the scotch egg which looks amazing, and chicken wings. She also gives you confidence to try things out for yourself, which I like, and I’ve used the air fryer nearly every day since getting the book. Chips, healthy chips (just one tablespoon of oil), for two, perfect every time with just one shake in the middle – my son is happy, thanks Poppy and sorry for going on about chips! (There’s way more in the book but seriously they’re amazing)

Being a new user of an Air Fryer I was looking for a book that would give me the type of recipes we like to eat. A lovely book with some proper English recipes rather than American based food in other books.
The recipes are easy to follow but they also give you the confidence to experiment with your own recipes.
Well done Poppy.
