A book on statistical analysis for soccer / European football. Easy to understand and to the point. No need to have mathematical knowledge to benefit from it. You need to be interested in factors such as possession, pass accuracy, shoots, player valuations, etc… It has certainly enriched the way I look at the beautiful game.

Excellent book for those with a passion for football and statistics. It includes very interesting ideas about the factors key to better estimate the future performance of a team, which, at the end of the day, it is just a better understanding of football itself obtained via data analytics. The author is honest with regards to the possibility of beating the bookies.

I have enjoyed this book. It is a practical example of the type of questions that can be answered using statistics, data mining, modelling or big data in the world of football. Fortunately, the author keeps formulae to the minimum so it is a very accessible read.
