Starting with the content in the book itself – it does provide useful high level guidance on how to set about making a google ads strategy. There’s insights into creating a clear plan and strategy as a total beginner. There are also some typical mistakes to avoid and pointers to maximise success.
However, and this is why I only give three stars. The entire educational benefit of the book is tainted by too much hard sell and call to actions from the author. You can rarely go one page without her linking her own website or trying to steer you into booking a call with her business.
It just leaves a sour taste and could have been reduced to a summary at the start or finish of the book, of any available services. Even if your advice is good or not, I instantly begin to distrust you when you are hard selling 2-3 times per chapter.

I am so glad I found this book. It was easy to follow and understand, and the content was exactly what I was looking for. It helped me set up my Google Ads without wasting hours down the YouTube rabbit hole. I now have a better understanding of what I need to do to run profitable Google Ads, and I am grateful for the knowledge that Claire has shared in this book. This is one of the best internet marketing books I’ve read in some time.
I’ve managed my own Google Ad campaigns for a few years now and thought I knew everything I needed to know but having read Claire Jarrett’s book I realise how wrong I was.
Within the first two chapters there’s two gold nuggets that I’m definitely going to use. First, using the software that finds and copies the best ads in your market, why invent the wheel when you can find and copy the fastest moving wheels out there, then use them for your own campaigns. Second, use a landing page designed to your ads campaign to convert more click throughs into leads or buyers.
I’m convinced that implementing these and all the other ideas in the book, my Google Ad campaigns will be much better targeted to the customers that I want to attract and convert a much higher number to sales.
You might think Claire Jarrett has paid me to leave such a glowing review, I promise you, she hasn’t.
I strongly recommend anyone using Google Ads or thinking of using Google Ads should read this book before you spend any money, it will save you wasting money (as I realise I have now) and get you maximum results.

I bought this book thinking I’d dip into it but then read it cover to cover. It lays out the entire Google Ads framework in an easy to understand way, then breaks it down bit by bit. Incredibly useful and easy to understand, I can’t wait to try out some ads using this methodology.
