Great aid to home learning while we have been on lockdown. My daughter is in reception class and these have been great for her continued learning while we’ve been at home. She is learning with read, write, Inc curriculum at school and that’s how I found these. She has loved the colours and pictures and she really does work well with flashcards.

Cards themselves are good quality but they arrived in a plastic bag and not in a box like other similar products.

The cards are great for supporting my sons reading at home. Previous sets came in a protective box while these ones came in a zip lock bag.

Strongly recommended. Maybe not as useful as Set 1 (which helps to teach the individual letters), these flash cards contain all the different sounds made by combining letters (e.g. “oa” in boat). The letter combinations are printed on one side of the card, while on the other side there is a drawing and rhyme/sentence (e.g. there is a drawing of a goat in a boat and the sentence “A goat in a boat”). The idea is that the child learns to recognize the letters/sound by memorizing the drawing/sentence.
Maybe it was particularly effective for my son because the same cards were being used by his school, but I think they are brilliant.

These are a great next step when moving on from learning single sounds on to digraphs.

I am an ex teaching assistant and as I am trained in read write ink, I found these cards perfect to teach my granddaughter ❤️ she can easily handle them herself. The packaging is great (set two and three come in a handy plastic zip close bag set one in a box) you will need both sets for ages 3-7 years. My granddaughter loves these cards and although I have been trained to use them years ago they come with instructions for easy reading and understanding as there is a certain order to teaching your child/ children
All you.parents/ carers out there I cannot recommend using read write ink enough my now 5 year-old grandaughter is reading at a higher level, she is in reception class and reads at level year one. Best to start when they are two starting with simple sounds in their order
M A S D T being the first sounds they will learn. On each card you will see the letter on its own and with a picture. This is a progression of being able to recognise the letter sound to blend read and build words. You can have so much fun playing and learning, its definitely a brilliant way to learn to read.
Have fun as I highly recommend these phonics cards. Of course you can ask a staff member to help you if your unsure of Thier use. Have fun reading ☺️

Great product to support our child learning phonics along with school.
Only marked down as the don’t come in a pack. Just a plastic zip lock bag type thing.
Either way, really helping us. Thank you

I have used the Read Write Inc resources for several years now. They are brilliant for children who cannot pick up reading using look and say through the apprentice method. I did not learn to read using synthetic phonics and found it difficult and a bit tedious at first, but you can make it fun and interesting with a bit of effort and a slight injection of panto!! Now I wouldn’t be without these cards – I have set one as well. With these you can teach the 44 sounds as set out by Ruth Miskin et al. Children will be reading in no time and then hopefully will take off and become lifelong readers. I have had the benefit of training in this method, but you can find loads of useful tips on Ruth’s website. Happy sounding and blending!!
