I never studied Macbeth so I was petrified of teaching it. This book saved me.

This is English teacher joy in a nutshell! It is like intense study of the play you love with handy teaching tips rolled into one. The analysis is SO detailed and addictive to read that you literally can’t wait to get into class to teach all the great new concepts you have learnt. I am a great fan of Pryke, so I was thrilled to discover that he was bringing out this book on one of my all-time-favourite plays. I hope now the trend continues and that he brings out more useful reads to spice up our Secondary School teaching methods.

Without doubt a unique approach to teaching this subject matter. Superbly crafted in both structure and content, even the illustrations are impressive. In this instance two heads (excuse the pun) are definitely better than one, and I fully expect this to become a recommended teaching resource as readership becomes more widespread.

This book is incredible! I’ve taught Macbeth for years and never enjoyed it as much as what I have since using this. It has opened my eyes and encouraged me to explore the play in a depth I never have before. It includes all of the key things needed, while still being straightforward to follow and also provides content to stretch and challenge your high ability students. The resources are fabulous- engaging and accessible. If you teach Macbeth or want to touch up on your subject knowledge, I would highly recommend this text- you will see Macbeth in a whole new light!
