Book is very good and have already done quite a few recipes. Be good even if a person didn’t have kidney problems.

I was disappointed with this after the good reviews. Not least because the book is written for the US market and so uses American cup measurements instead of actual weights and volumes which I absolutely hate. I’m happy with either ounces or grams – I can convert from one to the other in my head – but I never remember what on Earth a cup of flour is supposed to weigh. It’s a barmy system. I wouldn’t have bought the book if I’d realised. Less of a problem, but an irritation nonetheless, is the use of US names for common herbs eg cilantro instead of coriander. The recipes have some odd ingredients eg “rice milk” although, to be fair, there are instructions for making the latter. In short, this was not the book I was looking for or expecting.

This is a fantastic book!
Not only does it give you lots of recipes, it explains how the kidneys work and what effect certain foods have on them….I feel its written just for me,as it answers so many questions I’ve had.

Menus suggested in some cases for 16/18 people. Really!!! I wanted help and guidance for me only. Far too confusing and quite frankly not easy to underatand. Not helpful at all.

Clear and concise information with excellent recipe ideas. One small point, the recipes and ingredients are aimed at American readers but I have been able to adapt!
