THE WORLDWIDE #1 BESTSELLER BEHIND NETFLIX’S THE LINCOLN LAWYER
THE PATH TO JUSTICE CAN BE PAVED WITH LIES
Defense attorney Mickey Haller – The Lincoln Lawyer – rides the wave of freeing a wrongfully convicted man from prison.
Inundated with pleas from incarcerated people claiming innocence, Haller enlists the help of ex-LAPD detective Harry Bosch to find the next case which could result in a resurrection walk.
When Bosch finds a needle in the haystack – a woman imprisoned for murdering her husband, a sheriff’s deputy – they discover evidence that doesn’t add up, and a department pushed for quick closure in the killing of one of its own.
But is this rushed justice – or something more sinister?
As they face a David versus Goliath court battle, the secrets which could lead to an innocent woman walking free could also mark the end of the Haller-Bosch dream team. . .

Michael Connelly does it again, another spellbinding, superbly put together story.
The half brothers working together, for a final time? Who knows?
I’ve been reading stories about Bosch and The Lincoln Lawyer for many, many years and now it feels like age is starting to catch up with them as well as me.
It’s a great tale and it throws up the usual twists and turns before we get the end.
Enjoy it, and here’s hoping it’s not the end.

This was a really interesting novel from Michael Connelly. Mickey Haller has some sort of epiphany which may change his attitude to the law in the future. Likewise, Harry Bosch is going through extreme changes. A very insightful and worthwhile read

I now feel utterly bereft, I read Resurrection Walk over two days, should have tried to make it last, but couldn’t, like a lovely box of chocolates, I just devoured the book. Wow fantastic, Mickey and Harry together once more, the story was brilliant, twists and turns, the reason for feeling bereft is I know it will be a long wait till the next book, unlike some crime writers I could mention Mr Connelly spends time researching and getting everything right, making this the best read I’ve had this year. Might go back to the beginning and read all the Harry Bosch books for the third time!

I treasure Michael Connolly novels and force myself to read slowly so as to draw out the pleasure – but found it impossible not to finish this cracking Haller/Bosch story in two days. Do hope Harry survives long enough for one last hurrah!

This book is a masterpiece. The best yet by Mr. C. and possibly the best book I have ever read. There are not enough superlatives to use. I don’t think I have ever felt so involved in a story and it was such a simple tale that ended up like a game of Snakes and Ladders. There were so many highs and lows and I am not ashamed to admit that I punched the air and cried at the conclusion. Absolutely brilliant.

Fabulous.
A standard Michael Connelly slow burning procedural. Always a pleasure. Nothing fancy – just reliable as always.
Harry Bosch’s presence in the story was tinged with sadness though. He’s getting old & his time is coming to an end. I wish Connelly would turn back the clock & re-visit his earlier life.

It had to happen eventually – Bosch and Haller finally get together to work on a case. Hooray! Not just the occasional touching of lives that we have had in the past, but a proper – and very fruitful – hand-in-glove partnership.
Between Lincoln Lawyer books (and they are few and too sparse) I have read many courtroom dramas. None come close to the mix of authenticity and engagement that Michael Connelly manages to produce.
This author manages to keep you informed of the unfolding strategy, whilst holding back on a few key developments so that there is for the reader anticipation and drama in the courtroom. Few authors can pull this off – it is an art, and Connelly is Rembrandt.
All of the regular Lincoln Lawyer characters make an appearance in this satisfying story of ultimate justice – Cisco, Laura, Maggie – but with the wisdom and experience of Bosch thrown in the mix the storyline takes on an extra dimension, and Connelly interwove the expertise of each half-brother brilliantly.
The behaviour of Mickey Haller continues to include slightly dodgy tactics and an element of rebellion, whilst the character of Harry Bosch continues to be restrained and winsomely insecure. I am looking forward to the day when they are a bit more demonstrative in their appreciation of each other!
It will be long time (if ever) before Mickey Haller emerges in a new drama, so perhaps it’s time to start again at the beginning and enjoy his developing celebrity.

This was, literally, a can’t put down book which twisted and turned throughout with a full ‘cast’ of Connelly’s characters including a significant cameo appearance from Harry Bosch.
I have read all of Connelly’s novels and am never disappointed and always enthralled and amazed at how well he can keep the readers attention while he ramps up the drama.
The wait for the next novel will seem far too long but will undoubtedly be worth it!
