My son used this book in his music lesson so I bought a copy for him to practice at home. Great for beginners simple beats and clear book layout

I have been personally drumming for around I would say 2-3 years at the least and in no way means a good drummer. Do not get me wrong I love to play and improve and if the possibility of playing with people came up, I would take the chance in a heartbeat. This book is an insight to grading for drummers. The grading can help towards UCAS points for high education purposes (depending on the results of the grades) as well as a sense of achievement and goal to aim for. As someone who loves to pick up and play it’s a great insight to what is measured and graded for a grade and anyone who wants to take drumming seriously – I would highly recommend picking this up to even just to read and try to play along. It goes over in detail the songs and notes to play. It even has a wide range of music to start off with from well known artists to old hit legends. For the price it is a steal!!!
As anyone wanting to pickup the drums and learn seriously, I would recommend.

I was expecting great things from this book based on reviews but feel a little disappointed, but that may be more down to my choice rather than content. The book I would say is more like a reference book with the accompanying downloads all being bundled into various folders. If you’re a parent like me who’s had a child at home without drum lessons, I don’t think this is the best place to start.
From my perspective I’d rather have bought a book that teaches progressive exercises that build into a song in a much more user friendly and readable format (especially for a 9 year old) along with rudiments and paradiddles that build on existing skills.
For me it just feels a little disconnected. Like I said, I don’t think it’s a bad book, just not right for us.

Book was great, music that goes with it worked, but only on a laptop which made it hard as my son has ipad and android phone and we couldn’t get it to work on either.

it’s a good book introduced by my teacher and I think it’s not suitable for self-learning, but need to learn follow a tutor

This was a good buy for future use, but not really basic enough for a beginner. But am keen to use it regularly
