Roommate Wars: A Billionaire with Benefits Romantic Comedy (All’s Fair)
£4.70
Having a one-night stand with my sister’s billionaire friend was a mistake…
But moving in with the reclusive billionaire would be an even bigger problem.
Besides the unfortunate time we slept together, the only thing Jack Townsend and I have in common is our aversion to serious relationships.
But after he sees the sh*thole I’m living in, he sweetens the offer to stay in his swanky home with the one thing an impoverished government worker like me can’t turn down—free rent.
He makes it clear he’s not interested—our sizzling night together was barely a blip on his playboy radar. I don’t know if I should be offended or relieved.
Either way, my heart says no, but my mouth says yes. And my head says it’s not a handout; I’d be helping him around the house.
One minute I’m washing his designer boxer-briefs, and the next Jack has me pretending to be his girlfriend to ward off the gold diggers.
I don’t need the confusion of a fake relationship, but I could do worse than playing house with a handsome billionaire. Besides, he’s already seen me naked. What could possibly go wrong?
Roommate Wars is a roommates-to-lovers romance, with a commitment-phobe billionaire and a sassy, independent heroine. This novel is a standalone romance guaranteed to give you laughs, feels, and the grand gestures and happy ending you crave.

Roommate Wars is the second book in this series, they are interconnected standalones so they can be read in any order. This book features Elise and Jack, they had a one night stand after Elise sleepwalked into Jack’s room when her sister was his roommate. She leaves early the next morning refusing to speak about it even though it was the best night of both their lives, but they are both against relationships. Elise moves into a dump as she wants to show she can be independent but Jack sees her living conditions and makes her an offer she cant turn down. He gets Elise to move in with him on the basis she helps with some household chores. While living together Jack needs a fake girlfriend to keep his staff member away and that’s when lines start to blur between housemates and something else.
I enjoyed this story, it had fake dating and grumpy vs sunshine characters. I really loved the banter between Jack and Elise, it was fun to read. If your looking for a good rom com story then I recommend this.

After reading a lot of dark romance, I really needed this book. This was a fun and light hearted love story.
Jack and Elise have an history. They accidentally have a one night stand (you will understand when you read it).
Things happen and they end up being roommate a for one month.
Both of them are commitment-phobes.
All they have to do is get through the month without giving in to their urges
I loved their relationship, loved the witty banter going back and forth. Then he needed a fake girlfriend and things get even harder to stay away. Jack was so caring towards her, which is a new thing for him. He was the perfect cinnamon roll with hint of possessiveness.
Although this isn’t as Spicy as my usual reads, I still loved it.
Read and find out what happens in that month. Can they really keep it platonic? Will they be able to make it a month and let each other go?
Fun, flirty, friends, family, humour, emotions and some spice.

Wow what a great second instalment of the series! Engaging, book with entertaining story that has lots of funny moments, great banter, undeniable chemistry between the two main characters, lust ,love, desire, friendship and a bit of OW drama. It was nice to catch up with the characters from Landlord wars and can’t wait for Lizzie’s story. All’s fair in love and war!!!! Definitely highly recommend this read!!!

The second romcom in Jules Barnard’s Billionaires with Benefits series and after the glimpses we got of Jack and Elise in the previous book I was desperate for Roommate Wars. They’d met when her sister became his new flat mate and while there had been a spark between them, after a one-night stand, student Elise ran all the way overseas supposedly. Now she’s back and working for the city but her low wages mean the best flat she can afford is something that should’ve come complete with a hazmat suit and her roommates are cockroaches! When Jack sees just how bad things are he knows can’t leave Elise in a slum, so he somehow finagles into moving in with him rent free for thirty days in return for her doing some cooking and cleaning before adding on some fake dating in an attempt to thwart the attentions of his new employee who is has a glint in her eyes when she looks at him.
It was obvious right from the start how attracted this pair were to each other, but Elise was such an independent character with problems accepting help and Jack was a complete commitment-phobe probably down to losing his mum at a young age, so they spent a lot of this book swinging from friends to near lovers and then back to mere roommates again. I did enjoy all the verbal sparring and flirting between them especially when Elise dipped her toes in the dating pool and Jack’s jealousy shone through.
I’d been looking forward to Roommate Wars so much, but I can’t help but feel this book fell a little flat for me. It’s not that it’s bad or anything, just I didn’t feel much happened. I do love this author’s style of writing though. Her dialogue is quick-fire and witty, and she creates characters that I love so I still wouldn’t hesitate to read her books in future.

I’ve been looking forward to reading this book since I read the first in this series. This one is about Sophia’s sister and Max’s best friend who initially seemed to dislike one another, til Elise’s sleep walking habit led her into Jack’s bed one night and what followed later blew her mind so much that she went to Europe for six months.
Now Elise is back, she’s trying to settle into her new apartment but it’s a cold, damp, roach infested place but all that she can afford. She hasn’t let her sister know where she is staying because she will want to take over and Elise wants to be independent. However, Jack has tracked her down and appalled by her living conditions, convinces her to move in with him temporarily, rent free, in return for housekeeping chores. They agree to discount their previous night together as a mistake and going forward their relationship will just be platonic. Living in close proximity may make that difficult but it’s just a short term arrangement so there won’t be enough time to rekindle any emblems, will there?
This was an amusing read which made me smile, a lot, it had nice interesting characters and at least one, less so, who only has their own interests at heart.

Despite its combatative sounding title, this is a lovely, funny romance with engaging sparring between our protagonists, Elise and Jack. Their to and fro disguises their attraction to each other and the dual pov gives us delightful insights into their thoughts and feelings. There is a strong sense of blood and found family, which provides both warmth and fun to the proceedings. Though there is a low angst storyline, the narrative moves along at a satisfying pace. Lovely ????????????????
