This novel is fantastic. I must admit, I thought the premise sounded a little silly, but it turned out to be a really well written story that I couldn’t put down! It’s one of the best young adult novels I’ve read in a long time; a Harry Potter-esque adventure packed with lots of loveable (and some not so loveable!) characters and some really empowering messages. The plot is gripping, and there’s a good mix of both amusing and touching moments thrown in. I was enthralled. I can’t wait for the next chapter of Rosie Frost and her friends’ adventures!

If I am totally honest, I was not expecting this book to be as good as it was – how judgmental of me to expect that, because Geri is a celebrity, she couldn’t write a stonkingly good book! Which this is for sure! I loved Rosie, loved Heverbridge, loved the loose ends which we know means there will be another visit there. It all goes to show, like Rosie says, you can’t always judge a book (or an author!) by its cover!
