Royal Heir (Westerly Billionaire Book 3)

£2.80

Ruth Cardello, the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of Up for Heir, turns a fairy-tale romance into a sizzling bedtime story.

Rachelle Westerly needs a break. After years of acting as the family peacekeeper, she’s finally ready to take a step back. Her movie-star brother has offered her the perfect escape. But on the very first day of her vacation, she steps onto a red carpet and straight into the arms of a real-life prince—and the promise of just the kind of flash and fortune that tore her own family apart.

As the soon-to-be leader of Vandorra, Prince Magnus de Bartelebon always gets what he wants—and the regal bad boy wants the sweet American schoolteacher. Although he should be announcing his engagement of convenience to a neighboring princess, Rachelle is the one he desires in his bed and by his side.

While the drop-dead gorgeous Magnus might be almost everything she craves, Rachelle can’t help but think that falling for him would be a royal mistake. He may be ruling a kingdom one day, but she’s in charge of her heart. And he’ll have to win it with more than a lap of luxury—as inviting as it is.

A great storyline, I enjoyed this story of Rachelle and Prince Magnus. Loved how Rachelle stood up to him. So sad about the little children with various life changing illnesses in the hospital. A very romantic story with some drama thrown. Cant wait to read about Eric, to find out why he was spiralling downhill.

Definitely a suspension of disbelief scenario. Story is good and nips along at a fair pace with some excitement towards end. It is difficult to place Vandorra on the world stage – Europe/Middle East/Croatia/one of the …stans maybe? That does not explain why our hero has an Orkney/Shetland/Scandinavian (aka Viking!) name and the little hero has an Irish one, although the little girl has a pretty little name. Hope she made it to Disneyland.
    All in all very entertaining.

Well these Westerly Heirs and Heiresses have certainly responded to their Grandmother’s inheritance clause without even really trying. If you’ve read from book one, which you really should to truly appreciate and understand this family’s dynamic and who they are, you will already know that this is two down three to go.

With oldest brother Brett now married to her best friend, Alisha and younger brother Spencer set to be married to the love of his life that he thought he’d lost, Rachelle is feeling a little overwhelmed.

To escape all the lovey-dovey stuff, our big hearted Rachelle turns her attentions on her elusive movie star brother, Eric who has removed himself from the family circle. Rachelle’s concern for her brother only increases when she flies to London to stay with him. Despite being physically closer he remains just a elusive. In a bid to remind him of her existence, Rachelle attends his movie premiere.

Never would she have dreamed that he surprise appearance would find he bumping into a Prince. Equally she would never have believed that she could turn his Royal head and have him practically falling over himself to tempt her into his bed.

But she was right to be concerned about Eric. He’s in a dark place and it takes Prince Magnus’s intervention to save him. With her brother now being looked after in one of the the Kingdom of Vandorra private recovery facilities, it gives Magnus the opportunity to further encourage Rachelle to sleep with him.

The more Rachelle rebuffs his advances and calls him out on his arrogant Royal ways, the more he wants her. She’s everything he never realised he needed. She’s not afraid to challenge him or point out his flaws, which he’s not used to hearing. The more time they spend together the deeper the attraction grows on both sides.

The trouble is that money and entitlement doesn’t come without its difficulties and opposition. With that, it can also bring insecurities. Can their feelings for each other override their own doubts and make them realise that they belong together?

As with the other books in this series it’s a slow burn and even though the sexual tension between these two is heated and intense… they certainly take their time before Rachelle finally gives into his princely charms. Again if you are looking for that romp-a-minute romance, this possibly doesn’t float your boat, but it is full of passionate embraces and stolen kisses.

This story is sweet and romantic if you like the idea of being swept off your feet by a strong, influential and regal lover who has never had a relationship based on feelings of love. But it’s so clear that Rachelle is perfect for Magnus. He brings out a caring and affectionate side and when he finally admits how he feels, there’s no doubt in his mind that she is his future.

And that epilogue. So lovely and a very fitting end to this beautiful story of forgiving, caring and devotion to family and country. Can’t wait to see what happens to Eric… hoping his story is next. He deserves a good woman to love him and show him that having someone who cares is what he needs.

It felt real, the characters, in fact all of them. Having the Cornish and Andrade names mentioned confirmed my suspicion that the story was going to be good. I laughed and I cried with a happy ending, I shall look forward to the next book????

This is book three in the Westerly Billionaire Series and it follows Rachelle Westerly and Prince Magnus.
Let’s meet the lovely Rachelle Westerly.
If anyone deserves a break and a medal for holding the peace it’s Rachelle. After all these years of keeping the peace between the family. Rachelle is finally taking a huge step back. With her having a movie-star brother helps. As he’s offered her the perfect escape.
Meet the handsome and Prince Magnus de Bartelebon of Vandorra
Prince Magnus has a way of always getting what he wants. Yes this Royal bad boy has locked eyes on the sweet American schoolteacher Rachelle. Although the Prince really should be announcing his engagement. It’s an engagement of convenience to the neighbouring princess. Fortunately the Prince only wants Rachelle to be his one he and only true desire. Both in his bed and forever by his side.
With all the time that Rachelle has to think about everything she’s done to help her family and is finally taking the time for herself all she can now think about is Prince Magnus and his gorgeous body, oh and those eyes. His eye pull you down and under his powerful spell.
Another fantastic book by Ruth can’t wait for more

Such a sweet fairy tale of a Prince finding his Princess. A great sexual tension between the two, which brought with it all the sarcastic and charged banter, which I absolutely loved. Have really enjoyed the series so far – next book due out in August 2018 – Hollywood Heir. Can’t wait.

As a Londoner, I take issue with the inaccurate information within this book. The Boston Writers Mafia seem to enjoy writing about countries they have seen by watching BBC historical dramas. For future reference, please do your research better so you don’t hack off your international markets.

That being said, this is really quite a sweet story. Rachelle is not one of favourite characters from this series. I was really quite annoyed by how she treated Alisha in the first book and would have deemed her as a interfering busy body. But as I read this book, she slowly grew on me.

I have never really understood our American cousins fascination with royalty and this story isn’t plausible. But what I did like about this story was Magnus. Putting the crown to one side, he’s an all round decent man who loves his family and his country. How can that not be attractive?

Things get a little bit silly towards the end, with the easiest and shortest kidnapping in history but otherwise a good read. Enjoy peeps ????

A down to earth fairy tale romance that’s extremely sensual and exciting. A worthy successor to book 2 and just as good. Ms Cardello writes an excellent story with a great deal of humour and pathos. A pleasure to read and would give 10 stars if I could! Loved it. ????????????????
