This book is certainly well researched and well written. I enjoyed this book immensely and forgot that this story was based on fact. I did get a bit confused at times as there were a lot of names flying around and some characters had more than one name.
If you like hysterical novels then this book is worth reading. I do have to say that it would’ve helped if there was a list of characters and what they were at the front of the book to reduce confusion. Also a family tree would’ve helped too.
Good book. Would recommend.

An entertaining way to learn history is to read the books by the talented Jean Plaidy. Never disappointed. Mary, Queen of Scots’s story is full of love, romance, politics, nefarious goings-on, dirty deeds and bloody murder! Excellent reading.

Being a huge fan of Jean Plaidy, I’m more than familiar with her work, and this read was not disappointing. This book gives you a rare insight in to the complicated and passionate emotions of Mary, and the errors she made in losing her crown. Plaidy, as always, paints a wonderfully realistic view of the times and can put you in the world, in which she is writing about. Fans of the Tudor Times, or of the rich Scottish history will love this read.

Mary Queen of Scotts brought to life. I found it facinating and you don’t have to be a history fan to enjoy it.
