Royal Wedding: A Princess Diaries Novel: 11
£8.80
From the #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Princess Diaries series, comes the very first adult installment, which follows Princess Mia and her Prince Charming as they plan their fairy tale wedding–but a few poisoned apples could turn this happily-ever-after into a royal nightmare.
For Princess Mia, the past five years since college graduation have been a whirlwind of activity, what with living in New York City, running her new teen community center, being madly in love, and attending royal engagements. And speaking of engagements. Mia’s gorgeous longtime boyfriend Michael managed to clear both their schedules just long enough for an exotic (and very private) Caribbean island interlude where he popped the question! Of course Mia didn’t need to consult her diary to know that her answer was a royal oui.
But now Mia has a scandal of majestic proportions to contend with: Her grandmother’s leaked “fake” wedding plans to the press that could cause even normally calm Michael to become a runaway groom. Worse, a scheming politico is trying to force Mia’s father from the throne, all because of a royal secret that could leave Genovia without a monarch. Can Mia prove to everyone–especially herself–that she’s not only ready to wed, but ready to rule as well?

Decided to re read all the old series and new recently but newer versions are tedious at best. Loved the originals

It was the best book ever and I especially like the ending but though it was a bit predictable. Mia is Still a bit childish. Still best book ever!

Honestly as someone who loved the princess diaries going up, I enjoyed this book! It started slow but then the twists and turns really were so fun! It didn’t feel predictable somehow even though it probably was, and it would’ve been fair enough. If you liked the original princess diaries this is good vibes.

Almost perfect! I’ve been a fan of the princess diaries for many years now and I was so glad to hear that another one was being written, this book jumps straight back in to Mia’s life and all of the character’s still have their old charm, I would 100% recommend for any fans of the series and I feel if you haven’t read any of the books you could still enjoy it but not as much. Overall amazing and I wasn’t initially sure about the *spoilers* sister story line when I heard it’d be in the book but it worked perfectly. Bring on a sequel!

I enjoyed this book thoroughly though I thinkm it would have been better if Meg Cabot included a description of how the wedding goes and maybe at the end a bit about Mia and Michael with the twins. I am looking forward to finding out if there is going to be more books in the series!

A rather boring, and flat read. There wasn’t really a storyline, nor any suspense or tension. Of course Michael will ask Mia to marry him – the clue is in the title of the book! The sub-plot with Mia’s half sister seemed to be more focused on promoting her new book (Notebooks of a Middle School Princess) and didn’t have much bearing on the overall story. Mia didn’t seem as funny or as likeable in this book, and Michael had been transformed into some sort of overly-obedient doormat. Lily was as unpredictable as ever and Tina was a caricature of her old self. I didn’t enjoy this as much as I thought I would, and that makes me feel quite sad. I feel like this truly is the end of my teenage years.

After being a massive fan of the series in my teenage years I was scared to dip back in and find I wasn’t as invested in the story as my memories would have me believe. Meg Cabot has done an incredible job of ageing Mia along with the ageing fans. This book was just as relatable as the original series was. I still long to find out that I am a secret Princess. As with the other books in the series I was unable to put my kindle down once I started reading. I found myself laughing out loud and grinning from ear to ear. I really hope that this is just the beginning of the second series….

It is my comfort read, I read it whenever I am anxious or upset and it always manages to cheer me up. It tackles so many subjects and works on so many levels.
