‘Ok, lads, you have everything you need to win this game. So go out and do it ,’ said the coach.
Eoin’s not sure if it will be so easy! He’s just started a new school … and a new sport. Everyone at school is mad about rugby, but Eoin hasn’t even held a rugby ball before!
With new rules to learn, new friends to make and new teachers to get a handle on, he really doesn’t need to have Richie Duffy, the resident bully, picking him out as his latest target!
And just who is this guy, Brian, who looks so out-of-date, but gives great rugby advice?

I bought this for my 11 year old son who , like his father, loves rugby. He absolutely loved the book. Never before have I had to ask my son to stop reading and go to sleep! He is enjoying the series now.

This was an excellent book to get a young rugby enthusiast interested in reading! Super!

A fantastic series of Rugby books for 8-12yr old kids. A lovely mix of sport, history adventure and ghosts and beautifully written. My 8yr old has read and re-read them all.

I bought this as a stocking filler for my rugby mad son. He has just turned 12 and I think (unfortunately) I’ve found this series a few years too late. I’d say optimum age would be 8-11. That said he read it within a couple of days and really enjoyed it.
It’s been hard to find things he will actually read and I’ve bought him so many books I think he’ll enjoy which just sit on the shelf gathering dust, so this was a good find. I may buy the rest of the series just to give him something to read before the latest Skullduggery Pleasant is released in April!
