Rush: A New Adult College Romance (Palm South University Book 1)
£0.70
Drama. Lies. Sex. Welcome to Palm South University.
At a college in sunny South Florida, the weather is hot, and the guys are hotter.
Cassie McBee is a freshman, brand new to campus, and it doesn’t take her long to figure out that the rules are only set to be broken at PSU.
A pre-med bio major, she’s got more important things to worry about than joining a sorority or partying at fraternity houses. But her best friend is rushing, and when she tags along, she discovers there’s more to Greek life than she thought.
And when she meets Adam Brooks, the sexy soon-to-be president of Alpha Sigma, she kisses her heart goodbye right there on the spot.
There’s just one small problem.
Adam is dating Skyler, Cassie’s new Big in Kappa Kappa Beta.
And if you think that sounds like trouble, just wait until you meet the rest of the crew.
“If Gossip Girl and Riverdale had a love child, it would be PSU.” — #1 NYT Bestselling Author Rachel Van Dyken

OMG. I love Kandi Steiner’s work but this I just cannot put down. It’s like a roller coaster of emotions in one… I’m hooked!! Each individual story is so intriguing and I’m really starting to feel for the characters and root for them… but then that means I have to stop rooting for others… gah… this is an amazing read and I cannot wait to see what happens next…

This is like no book I’ve ever read before. Readers liken it to a soap opera and I totally get why. This book follows multiple couples and has multiple POVs. There are so many different characters and personalities that there’s bound to be someone in it for everyone. There is drama, secrets, lies, and of course SPICE! Jess and Jarrett are for sure my faves with their first meeting being fun and HOT.
If you like fraternities, sororities, and uni antics, this is the book for you. There’s definitely a realness to all the bed-hopping and mixed emotions that takes me back to my uni days.
With a full cast, it definitely helped to know whose POV we were listening to. Chapters were short and the plot often chopped between the characters quickly. Everyone portrayed their characters well.
This is a fun listen with plenty of new adult drama, so if that’s your jam be sure to pick up RUSH the first instalment in the Palm South University Series.

There was too much going on in this story and nothing seem to resolving. I found it hard to follow the scenarios between the various couples and happening surrounding the fraternities. To make matters worse, the story ended in a cliffhanger which I didn’t expect until the book ended. I’m so disappointed. I think it should be made clear in the description of every book if it has a cliffhanger. Then the reader can choose if they want to start the story.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book and I can already tell this series is gonna be full of drama. Reading this book was like watching one of my favourite soaps and every chapter has a explosive storyline. Let the drama commence.

Okay, so I really enjoyed this. At first, I was worried that the multiple POV would be hard to follow but it really wasn’t. I like that all the characters have things going on and that it’s revealed in pieces. I have my opinions on who should be with who and I’m very excited to see where the story goes for them all.
No spoilers but I am a sucker for a love triangle! When one of the 3 characters name is a chapter heading, I get very excited!!

Too many characters, too many viewpoints, none of them terribly likeable. Seriously, I think it jumps between nearly ten different POVs, with no central characters focused on. This must be a book for existing fans because it did nothing for me.
Also, at least three instances of problematic language.

This is my first read by Kandi Steiner and it wasnt what i expected but that made it even better!
Set out as smaller scenes like in a tv show it gives you a glimpse into each character at a time.. its set in a college and different frat houses but all characters like up in one way or another.. this book has definitely left me wanting to start book 2 right away!
Well done to Kandi for writing something in such a different and unique way!

I really gave it a chance but I found it really hard to follow personally and maybe being a British girl who didn’t even bother with University affected how I related to the characters. The writing is fine there’s not really anything wrong with it I just couldn’t bring myself to finish it.
