“Stephen is the real deal when it comes to sales and mindset. He’s put in the hard yards across industries, from training and hair salons to close protection (this guy has some wild stories). The knowledge he’s accumulated along the way is invaluable.
What I love about this book is that it comes from a place of morals and integrity. As Stephen says, “You can conduct your job as a salesperson with a strong dose of morality.” Yes to that! Too many books in this space are about manipulation and egos. This one is different.” Joel Stone

I follow Stephen’s very positive insights on social media (give him a follow – he talks about life the universe AND SALES there too) and have been looking forward to reading this book since he first announced that it was in the works. Sales Made Personal: The Complete Guide for Independent Coaches & Consultants has an enthusiastic foreword from Joel Stone (another must-follow on insta btw) which describes Stephen as “the real deal” and I wholeheartedly agree. I’m halfway through it at the point of writing and must say 1. I can’t put it down & 2. I feel I need to clear the decks and start putting his advice into action with my own business. This is the sales book I’ve been looking for. It’s on point and incredibly engaging. I want to get back to reading it so will update this review in a few hours if I feel I have more to add. I’ll end with a statement made by Stephen in the book – “Be bold, be brave and embrace the adventure!” Buy this book. It’s OUTSTANDING!!!

Really impressed with this book, the first thing to say is it’s a great read. Secondly it’s a must-read for those in the coaching and consulting arena. It’s more than a business book; it’s a guide to cultivating a mindset and skillset that will not only enhance professional success but also enrich personal interactions.
I’ve read lots of sales book and some of them cover the same old ground but this was a breath of fresh air with its insightful content and actionable strategies, “Sales Made Personal” is poised to become an indispensable resource for anyone looking to excel in this field.

Why is it so hard to find good common sense based sales books? Everyone seems to be wanting to chase that viral post that generates untold riches. Or to be using somewhat dubious sales methods to encourage (read that as “trick”) people into buying their services.
Stephen’s approach is based in normal, everyday common sense. And it sits well with most coaches’ values of integrity and transparency.
If you’re going to read a book on sales for coaches then this should be it!

I am really enjoying reading Sales made personal its a page turner and i especially enjoy the message behind the 7 Ps and i know i will be returning to it time and time again, i like how easy it is to follow and i am enjoying the stories that Stephen puts into the book that reinforce his message and that although its aimed at the professionals out there you can see how it would benefit the reader in day to day life experiences.
kind regards

I can’t emphasize enough how transformative this book has been for me. This book is a true gem, and I dare say it’s the only book on sales you’ll ever need. The author’s insights are not only incredibly practical but also exceptionally motivating.
From the very first chapter, I was hooked. The techniques and strategies presented in this book are a game-changer. They cover every aspect of the sales process, from prospecting and building rapport to closing deals and building long-lasting customer relationships. It’s like having a seasoned sales mentor guiding you every step of the way.
What I appreciate most is the book’s applicability. It doesn’t just provide theory; it offers actionable advice and real-world examples. I’ve found myself implementing the strategies discussed, and the results have been nothing short of astounding.
Whether you’re a seasoned sales professional or just starting your sales journey, this book is invaluable. It’s a comprehensive resource that will help you master the art of selling and achieve your sales goals. I can’t recommend it enough. It’s a must-read for anyone looking to excel in the world of sales.

I have know Stephen for some time and I was first of all struck by how genuine he is as a person. He gave me time, listened and is a motivation when it comes to things like how we focus on becoming better every single day. What I love about his book is the natural style and focus he gives to people! Giving and not getting. It is easy to think gone are the days of pushy sales people when you surround yourself with mission led people but it is just not true. Sales is a skill and everyone is selling the whole time. How you choose to do this is done to you! My advice as a business owner myself: give more than you take and be heart led in sales. This book is a reminder of just that but also a toolbook to continue to refer back to so you build on your skills for life.

I’m so impressed by the book. It’s a page turner! No lie. It’s good for coaching and selling communication (with anyone… basically to get what you want in life – from your kids, your boss, whoever ).. and really accessible and understandable. If you aren’t lucky enough to get coaching and communications skills courses from your employer this book does just that, and certainly enhances any coaching you may already receive . In a warm, witty, supportive and friendly way yet entirely focussed and outcome oriented.
Relevant to everyone! And has led me to make positive changes in my life already.
