Sea Glass Guide: The Ultimate Sea Glass Hunting Companion
£8.30
The perfect book for anyone who loves being by the ocean searching for sea glass.
This wonderful book is the ultimate sea glass guide. It contains beautiful photos and illustrations throughout, showing clear examples of colours, shapes and types of sea glass that you might find washed in by the tide. Beside every example is information and a little bit of history about where your treasures may have come from.
What makes this guide completely unique is it also features your name on the cover and little tick boxes to document your collection.
The entire book is created by passionate sea glass hunting family ‘The Wilsons’, who live in Devon and spend every weekend scouring the sand for treasures to add to their collection. They wanted to create a book that they couldn’t find anywhere else for sale. A book that could be placed into the beach bag alongside the picnic and the collecting bags, a handy little guide with all the information they could possibly need in one place. Quick, concise explanations and clear photos to compare finds and even add their own notes. When they couldn’t find this on the market, they decided to make it themselves!

Good book

Very thin booklet with minimal information. Overpriced for what it is.

Very informative and explains where different types of sea glass comes from, a few of the pages are slightly blurry and so the pictures aren’t as clear, and that makes it a bit more difficult to differentiate between the colours of glass.

small it may be but it is full of information. definitely a book to take on holiday

I was excited when I ordered this book and for the £8.95 price tag I expected a better quality print. The pages looked like photocopies. Other than that I really like the information in the book. I think this is over-priced.

This is a lovely thing, it gives clear photos of different colours of seaglass, allowing you tick off colours as you find them. All colours are covered and named, with a brief history on each double page spread.
Rarer/unusual glass is also described. Shaped items, stopper and Codd marbles, plus metal, china and buttons etc etc. The only thing not mentioned are jacks/knuckle bones/alley gobs.
Its a size which would easily allow carrying to the beach. Suitable all, for especially those new to the hobby or young people
