Book Description
The Devil Wears Prada meets A Christmas Carol (a novella)
Charlie Kenzie doesn’t give a mince pie about Christmas.
If she had her way, she’d have everyone in the office working on the next edition of Charm magazine.
Instead, she’ll be spending another Christmas Day alone.
Which she’s fine with.
That is until she’s caught up in an accident on Christmas Eve with an unusual taxi driver dressed as the the Ghost of Christmas Past, which springs this Manolo wearing Scrooge into a trip she’ll never forget.
A story about love, life, and being given a second chance

If we haven’t actually had a boss like Charley ourselves, we know someone who has, and what a miserable working life it makes for. I was hoping that at some point she’d be given a big cardboard box, clear her desk and be marched off the premises. But what happened was much cleverer and impacted positively all the people whose lives she had made a misery. A lovely story.

Really enjoyed this. I’m very fussy about the style of writing I like and this I loved. I’ll defiantly be on the look out for Holly Green’s next offering!

This is such a cute book. It’s a retelling of A Christmas Carol, but brought to 21st century London. There’s a great twist too which means you can’t guess the story and I loved all the characters – particularly Charlie (aka Scrooge!). A short story as it’s a novella, but it’s a delicious morsel of a festive treat.

This was such a fun read. A small book that packed a lot in. I really enjoyed the characters and liked how we got a deeper insight into Charlie and what had shaped her into the person she had become. Would very much recommend for a quick and fun read, curled up in front of the fire with a cup of hot chocolate.

The only way to describe this is a hallmark movie in a book. Absolutely brilliant, thoroughly enjoyed reading.

What a lovely, lovely read! A wonderful cross between A Christmas Carol and The Devil Wears Prada, and a fabulous heartwarming dollop of romance. Read it straight through at one go, really enjoyed it and can’t wait for Holly Green’s next romantic and witty novella. 5 Gold Stars from me *****
