The information in here is a little old for my daughter (just 3yrs old) but she loves opening the flaps and listening to the info behind them anyway. She has a keen interest in the underwater world and loves pointing out creatures she recognises and asking me about all the others (many of the pre historic or deep seas ones I myself haven’t heard of!) I think it will grow with her and am pleased to have bought it.

I gave this book to my 4 year old grandson at easter, and he loves it. I reckon he’ll still be interested in it for a few years because there is just so much to see and learn. He is lucky enough to live by the sea, so will be able to compare some of the things he reads about. Each page has surprises to unearth and the explanations are very clear. I would recommend this book with no hesitation as it is a book that can be shared by children and adults, with each learning something from it. Definitely top marks!

The Usborne lift the flap books have always been a popular choice in our house – they are really useful for dipping in and out of and our children will often pick one up to pass some time. We purchased this to support the teaching of the KS1 curriculum at their school.
The pages are thick and made of good quality material and the flaps are not flimsy and have stood the test of time with two boys. There are some really cool facts and our children especially liked the little tasks that are inside the back cover. Great for homework projects.

This beautifully presented book with the little lift flaps gives hours of fun reading and learning at the same time. So many interesting and information to learn about what is going on under the sea. Bright, colourful, interesting, my 9 year old son never gets bored of this book. I would say the age range is from age 5-10. I can also highly recommend See under the Ground if you can get hold of it.

I brought this as a present for my niece, and I am happy to report back that 1 year on it is still her favourite book! When she was only 3 she just loved looking at the pretty pictures and lifting up the flaps, but now as she gets older she is starting to enjoy learning about the animals featured in the book.
