This book is like listening to a relative who once painted their lounge and therefore knows all there is to know, but with the added annoyance of trying to be the taste police. For example, ’avoid using obscured glass in the [bathroom] windows as it looks horrible, especially from the outside: Provide a blind instead’ or ‘small counter-top models are faintly ridiculous’. Well… ????
The writer also frequently says things like ‘these are now made with’ suggesting that the reader has an image of how things used to be and just needs updating.
Don’t waste your time and money!
