Having started my own business in 2020 my google ranking was on page 31 with most of my traffic coming from social media traffic. I was a little daunted when approaching what I expected would be a very technical and detailed book on search engine optimisation. As a not-very-technical person myself, I was pleasantly surprised at how readable, engaging and even entertaining it was! Adam Clarke writes in a fluid, conversational style (if requiring the attention of a proofreader here or there), and somehow manages to convey even the very technical concepts with a humour that makes absorbing the valuable detail he supplies so much easier.
I would definitely recommend this book as it is a thorough, clear and concise manual for learning or further developing your SEO knowledge. With useful context on the historical relationship between Google and online retailers, it goes on to cover everything from identifying relevant keywords, to the use of meta-data, to the impact of new technologies like Google RankBrain and HTTP/2 as well as much, much more. To add even more value it is packed full of helpful resources and tools to help any business or organisation build or develop their online presence on the Google search engine.
