I saw a blogger recommend this book and so do I. Definitely one for the shelves.

Easy read, really good advise which I’ve already put into practice. Austin Kleon gets straight to the point, good tips and ticks. I’ve almost finished it and I’ve had it less than a week ????????

Small and lightweight to travel with.

This book was published in 2014, and it shows. 7 years on, the advice is a little simplistic given social networks now control what we see so much more, with algorithms brutally deciding what content you should and shouldn’t see, and the expectation that you’ll post a dozen disposable IG stories, TikToks and YouTube shorts every day.

It’s still useful, but needs to be peppered with modern advice; Make art and share it when you have something you want to share. Don’t burn yourself out being a social media god every single day.

…to create an avalanche of thoughts, and this is a fine little book in that sense, yielding tons of good ideas and copious notes. I pay a tribute to YouTuber Ali Abdaal for recommending it and, if you like this one, read Atomic Habits, another recommendation of his.

Thank you for sharing the rawness of being a creative person. I enjoyed the simplicity of your messages…. Some were new to me. I also appreciate how you connected dots.

Saw this book somewhere online and bought out of curiosity and I am glade I read this- most of the things said in this book we already know them but the way author has said them make more sense in perspective and encourage us to share our work and after one month and after one year we will be surprised how much we have done and shared.

If you’re a procrastinating creative person, you’re going to love this book. I’m totally motivated to start sharing my thoughts and work that is or isn’t complete from now on.

I like the idea that it’ll sometimes give me a kick up the backside or tell me to put the project on hold.

I’m going to recommend this to anyone who has a creative bone in their body.

I am looking forward to reading the other two books I picked up with this one.

I chose to give it a five star rating because it definitely delivered on what I was expecting from beginning to the end. I will certainly be dipping into it again.

I’m in a different line of work, but some really good tips here about being generous with your process – being willing to say where you are and what you’re doing might not mean much to you, but it is a gift to others
