Sidelined: An M/M College Romance (LSU Book 2)
£3.80
From USA Today and Wall Street Journal bestselling author Becca Steele comes a new standalone M/M college romance.
I’ve been in love with my best friend, Ander, for as long as I can remember. I’ve always kept my feelings to myself, knowing that I’d never have a chance because he’s straight.
Until the day he does me a favour by pretending to be my boyfriend.
After that, things change. He’s suddenly interested in experimenting with guys…just not with me.
It’s time for me to move on, and accept that nothing between us will ever change. He only sees me as his best friend.
Except…now he’s looking at me in a different way.
Does he feel something more than friendship for me, or am I just deluding myself?
I guess it’s time to find out.
Sidelined is an M/M new adult college romance with best friends to lovers and bi awakening themes. It is the second book in the LSU series. Each book can be read as a standalone.

Book 2 in The LSU series, and it’s Ander and Elliott’s story – these two guys are so damn loveable! Seriously ????
E has been in love with Ander forever, and Ander loves to ‘spread the love’ – to girls!
I love Elliot, he’s just a really good guy and I adore him. As much as he has tried to move on and forget, it’s just not happening. Ander just won’t leave his head, but loosing his friendship is more important than telling him how he feels.
I was sad for him, it’s a case of deep unrequited love and you just hope and pray he finds it….
Then we have Ander, the fun-loving, cocky, playboy with a heart of gold who is the master of cheesiness lol
I loved the way he was so thoughtful towards E, things like knowing what he’d want to eat or making sure he was ok it’s plain as day he adores him.
But that’s all it is, a best friend relationship – until he kisses him to get someone else of his back, and he likes it!
Although it shows how oblivious he is – it doesn’t occur to him that it’s E that got him flustered and not the opposite s3x ????????♀️
I liked that there was no questioning himself, when Ander realises he wants more then that’s that. Oftentimes, characters don’t want to admit they’re gay and would fight it – I am in NO way saying there’s anything wrong with that, far from it, I’m a fan of it to be honest. It was just a nice change that he didn’t try and ‘stay straight’!
A slow burn, sweet, funny, smexy and very hot read that I thoroughly recommend – Becca Steele has once again, written an excellent story that will easily be re-readable!

Ander is absolutely everything I love in a character and what I would love to be. He is so laid back, open to everything and just hilarious.
Elliott is nothing like I thought he would be from when we met him in Blindsided, the poor guy, really lacks confidence and communication skills but he is a sweetheart. You really empathise with the position he has been in, being in love with his best friend. The way Becca wrote these scenes, I do feel everyone would be able to connect with his feelings at some point of what they may have gone through in their own teen years. I certainly did.
I loved how their story came together, it wasn’t how I thought it would be which is always great as a reader. They had fantastic chemistry, and I just love this whole University vibe this series has with the housemates and the banter. Brings back happy memories of uni life.
Thoroughly enjoyed this story, it flowed really well and was quite fast paced and kept me engaged throughout. Love all the boys at LSU and was a fabulous follow up to Blindsided.

This book was such a cute read. Sometimes I love reading books where there isn’t any big drama or big plots and is just focusing on the relationship itself and its development. That’s what this series is so far and it’s like a breadth of fresh air.
I’ve been curious about Ander and Eliot and how they would develop since they were introduced in Blindsided. I was really intrigued to see where Becca would take it. It didn’t use to be the case but I’ve got a soft spot for friends to lovers.
Eliot was such a heartbreaking, honest and emotional character I loved being able to read his POV and seeing how he struggled for so long with unrequited love. He was such a relatable character and being able to see him get his happy ending was so lovely.
I didn’t know what direction Ander was going to go in, but being able to see his realisation and exploration was a great plot point.
Both of them were meant to be and it was so lovely not only to read about their relationship but also how it was rooted in an amazing friendship too. It was really falling in love with your best friend.
I’m so excited to see who is next and where the series goes next.

Becca Steele just bought us the epitome of a best friends to lovers romance. The pining, the low level angst and the absolute heartbreak we watched Elliot go through, hoping that one day, his best friend Ander would just feel a slither of what he’d felt for years was utter perfection.
Becca Steele has really come into her own when writing MM romances and has fast become one of my favourite 1-click MM authors.
“This boy was my everything.”
Sidelined is book 2 of the LSU series but they are interconnected standalones and can be read separately. I can’t wait to see what Becca brings us from this world next because some crumbs were dropped in this book!

I read this in one day!! ONE DAY!
I cannot begin to describe how much I loved this book. Best friends to lovers, bisexual awakening, he fell first but he fell harder – it was all so amazing!
The banter of all the characters from Becca’s previous books had me creasing. Just loved it.

Oh my gosh! I can not begin to tell you how amazing this story is.
After I read “blindsided” and got a glimpse of Ander and Elliot I knew I had to have their story. I had extreme High hopes for “sidelined” and I can assure you it did not disappoint. Becca Steele has yet again done an outstanding job with Ander and Elliot’s story.
Ander and Elliot have been best friends since they were young. Elliot has been secretly in love with Ander and has always hid his feelings towards his best friend. When Ander helps Elliot out of an awkward situation and they share a moment things between them begin to change and Ander sees Elliot in a whole new light.
Ander and Elliot’s chemistry was off the charts. I absolutely loved their story and I hope to see more of them in the future. “Sidelined” is a beautiful written story that gives you ALL THE FEELS.
I can’t recommend this story enough. If you love m/m friends to lovers then you will defiantly want to grab this beautiful story.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
