This is the third part of her autobiography, she has been amongst other things a stripper, chef etc and she has joined an opera company, Porgy and Bess, where she is making good progress.
I feel that her story although interesting is little too long, I shall not be continuing with her series of books.

I’ve read five of the seven of Maya Angelou’s autobiographies and this is probably my least favourite so far but only because the others were superb. Worth reading them in series.

I love Maya’s autobiographies her narrative is always beautiful. I have cried and laughed many times reading her books. What a beautiful human being with an inspiring journey. If you don’t want to read all of the autobiographies, at least read I Know Why a Caged Bird Sings you’ll then want to read them all!

Having been recommended to read Maya Angelou’s works I am very much enjoying reading her biographies. They are and easy and enticing read about a woman who has certainly been through her fair share of life experiences. And I have only just got to her late teenage years! Looking forward to reading on.
