Excellent value for money – unbelievable really. This is a beautifully presented text book and has been very helpful to my studying Spanish. On-line resources are all well and good, but sometimes you need to leaf through a book and see things in a better context. I would recommend this to anyone learning Spanish.

My old 1997 edition finally fell apart, so had to be replaced. This edition is much more organised and comprehensive, especially the grammar section. Being paperback, not sure how robust the binding will be, but looking good so far

I am doing the Babbel course, and wanted a dictionary so that I could look up words that cropped and I could not remember. There is a helpful grammar section at the back which covers ways in which words are used to construct sentences, and provides grammar rules around this. I have found this helpful in understanding, and therefore remembering how words are used. It complements the Babbel course. I sometimes have not fully understood what the grammar rules are, but rather learned how to say something without knowing why it is correct, which is why this book particularly helps. The dictionary is good, and of course has information about irreguar verbs and tenses for regular verbs.

As a learner’s dictionary and guide to Spanish grammar, this product is excellent. However, it has a standard paperback cover, which is already getting tatty through regular use. I have had a Collins pocket Spanish dictionary for several years, and it stands up to wear and tear better as it has sturdy plastic covers. I would have given my new one 5 stars if it had been bound the same way.
