fantastic. only disappointment is that the book is for the american market. it has replaced a number of european sports with american only sport. this is very disappointing. i feel it should be specified that this is for the american market and not the english market as my original copy was.

Having recently started doing Pilates to improve my core and reduce injuries I was recommended this book by my physio. It’s great it covers most sports, injuries and the exercises to be used to help recover and prevent future injuries a great buy

Disappointing – I bought it as a present and the front cover was damaged, so it looked very second hand.

This book is excellent – especially if you teach Pilates!
It covers a lot of injuries/problems we encounter giving great advice on how to avoid them or help resolve them.
Though it’s non fiction I couldn’t put it down as it was so interesting!

Even more helpful than I thought it would be. Each sport has its own chapter highlighting common injuries and what exercises will help. The exercises are then listed at the back and have listed what sports they help with. As I run a few gentle Pilates sessions it has a section of basic moves. I will also be using it to train myself for my sports.

As an older runner I’m always injuried and wonder when it is time to hang up the trainers?
This book was a revelation. It is very well laid out and the instructions and diagrams are clear and concise.
I dip in and out of it all the tiem and have made a significant effort to work on the core which has led to several benefits.
I would highly recommend it to all sports enthusiasts who wan to spend more time doing rather than recovering.

Pilates has been used by sports people to treat injuries for a while now, and as someone who does pilates to a high level, and a lot of triathlon, this book has shown me how specific pilates moves can help each of those sports. For anyone who does any kind of sport, and suffers injuries, or wishes to prevent them from reoccuring, then this is a valuable book.

An excellent reference book for Pilates teachers, full of simplified exercise charts which are very easy to refer to when working with various sports injuries.
