Spring Tide (Coastal University Book 1)
£3.00
For quite some time, Harper’s been harboring a secret crush on Nate Gunderson, fellow Coastal U student and MLB-hopeful. In order to spend more time with him this semester, she finds herself spinning a ridiculous web of lies. Her first step . . . convincing her sports med professor that she’s been dating a football player. After all, if she’s romantically involved, it simply wouldn’t be right for her to keep an internship with their team.
Unfortunately for Harper, this silly, frantic excuse to switch assignments quickly snowballs into an unstoppable rumor.
LUCA Reynolds is the type of guy who prefers to set low expectations, both for himself and others, if only to avoid any inevitable disappointment. His football teammates would describe him as reserved, brooding, and occasionally stand-offish.
The truth? Luca doesn’t feel like he belongs.
When an unexpected injury threatens to destroy Luca’s long-term plans, he finds himself in need of help from a discreet professional—one who will assess his knee, provide some simple stretches, and assure him that everything’s fine. Luckily, there’s a scheming student intern that just might owe him a favor or two.
A secret for a secret. A lie for a lie. It’s not really blackmail if she’s the one who used him first.

It started off cute but when they get together it gets boring and I lost interest. Plus, Luca was horrible to Harper, she deserved better than the way he treated her.

As soon as I saw this was grumpy sunshine and fake dating I said say less bc it never disappoints and this book didn’t either!!
Harper is sunshine personified!! She was just so lovely and wanted to help Luca in any way she could and didn’t expect anything back from him I love her so much
Luca made my heart hurt!! He was so focused on putting everyone else’s needs in front of his own and I’m glad Harper made him realise that sometimes he needs to think about himself first!!
I love Harper and Luca so much, the development of their relationship was so sweet and cute and I had a great time watching it all play out! I love them!

This was such a sweeeet, college, sports romance with opposites attract with the grumpiest Luca who was the cutest ever ???? It was relatively short. I finished it in 2 sittings, the chapters were short and snappy so it was so easy to fly through it.
I didn’t give it 5⭐️ because there were a couple of moments where the dialogue felt a bit manufactured or things didn’t flow perfectly. However I was so impressed. For a debut novel the characters were really well developed, touching on some sensitive subjects with neurodivergency, and the whole thing felt really mature and well written.
I can’t wait to see the developement and read her second novel Fault Line, coming in the summer.

This was one of the sweetest reads! Harper is this vivacious, hopeless romantic and Luca is our shy and loyal football player. Luca’s character really played on my heartstrings and the commitment he had to his family was so honorable. Harper was such an open book, which made her so like-able.
Their relationship was a slow burner and the spark not immediate, but when it lights, it’s so amazing ⚡️ I was so shocked at bedroom Luca ???? but absolutely loved it, the sneaky thing!
Our MC’s are basically strangers, which makes the whole fake dating scenario that more enchanting, as we get to read about them getting to know each other.
For a college romance, it was so realistic! The fumbling and uncertainty of who your attracted to and first loves was spot on. The epilogue ???????? a sweet and perfect ending, for two sweethearts!
Release date 5th December!
Excited to to see where this series takes us next! ????

It’s a nice palette cleanser between other books I usually read – gave it three stars because it was an average read for me – nothing that stood out in either direction.
Perfect as a “pick me up” read 🙂

“But loving Harper, the girl bathed in sunlight, feels as natural and effortless as breathing in my sleep”
everything about this book was incredible, I truly felt like I was part of the characters world and the setting, the plot and the writing all just hit so well. the football player x sports medicine student trope was just chef kiss perfectly done ????
Luca and Harper were just adorable and I was giggling right along with Harper and her jokes, her talkative side was so cute and Luca’s shyness and how he wanted to be so good for Harper ughhh it was EVERYTHING

The grumpy/sunshine fake dating pulled me in from the very start. Luca was so easy to love and Harper the same. I loved her easy going nature and her ability to see the good in everything. I love Luca because he was so selfless and his grumpy side was adorable.
Their struggles feel real as do their internal battles, the pacing of the story was also great. The moments Harper and Luca share absolutely melted my heart. Ki managed to get the perfect balance for a sweet, loving, a little spicy story but mostly so full of heart. When I finished this book I felt so warm and cosy and I love that. Can’t wait to read more in the future ????
