Wonderful book very informative, excellent diagrams.
by Jeff Homoranu-Blackheart
The book is a good size and quality, but anyone who has had older versions will miss the foldout pages that had bigger ships on as they are now just split on pages instead it does not look as good. oh and finally after two versions before they added the finalizer class star destroyer that was missing from the book even though it should have been in. so its ok for all the new ships but the old books did it allot better

my oldest son was delighted with this book .

DK books adorn our shelves at home and are generally top notch. The Star Wars fans among us though found this one a bit of a let down. There are cross sections and technical detail galore for all sorts of vehicles and space craft but the quality of the illustrations is highly variable.
We prefer clean, technical diagrams where the detail and cut always are crystal clear mixed with film stills. Unfortunately, there are too many craft displayed in almost cartoonish detail with the cutaways almost disguised. It’s a real shame and spoils reading about several favourites, especially for the cover price and bearing in mind that elsewhere in the book, you can see other space craft displayed in their full glory with a proper diagram format.
I appreciate this book is aimed at a wide age range but the quality is too hit and miss, especially for anyone hoping for inspiration to draw or build their own versions of the space craft and vehicles.
Best advice would be to sample some illustrations or turn the pages in a shop before you buy.

Firstly, there are some very nice cutaway illustrations in this book – very useful if you want to know more about things that don’t really exist.
However, (at the risk of sounding like a certain Jedi master) “complete” it is not; I’ve noticed several things that are not in here.
Lovely book, well produced, great to look at, reasonably priced but could be slightly better.
Recommended.
