A good introductory text to statistical fundamentals, although unnecessarily long-winded and verbose in parts. More ideal as a reference book to consult if you want a detailed explanation on a particular statistical concept.
by Rturn
Clearly explains basic and more advanced statistical concepts. I find it a useful addition to my other stats books
by Dimitar Bakalov
Excellent book which helps you grasp the basic concepts without drowning you in excessive math.

The first ‘dummies’ book I’ve been disappointed in. In fact I couldn’t tell you where it is right
now. I wanted something to explain common statistical phrases and it’s not really done that enough.
