Strike a Chord: A Sapphic Rockstar Romance (Small Town Sapphics Book 2)
£3.80
Jamie Lawson has never been so humiliated. Not only did her ex break up with her at a bar, but she also got rejected from a club the same night, AND it was all caught by the paparazzi.
Now, her thriving music career is at risk and she must return to her small town for some good press… and to finish the album she hasn’t even started… and maybe fall in love with her reformed high school bully, Dani Crawford.
Dani Crawford has spent over a decade trying to improve the town she loves. Working at her Aunt’s thriving coffee shop and volunteering at the New Winford Humane Society, Dani doesn’t have time for her own dreams, let alone love.
But, when rockstar LAWSON returns to town, she just might have to make some room… if they can get over their history.

Jamie is a rockstar, who after some bad publicity, returns to her hometown. Dani is her love/hate high school nemesis from years before.
This is how these two women end up together after years of pining for one another but never being able to do anything about it.
It is an interesting, fun story, well written. Both Dani and Jamie are good characters, but I found their romance a bit superficial and cold, especially from Jamie’s side. It seems as though their high school feud had never been totally concluded, and even when they are together towards the end, there is still an undercurrent of mistrust between them, we are waiting for the breakup.
One of the highlights of the story are the scenes of Jamie writing her songs – this helped the story get some warmth and life.
I really loved the animal sanctuary, and the thought of Jamie there cleaning the s*** was great fun. The dogs were good, individual characters, especially Diesel, and that made the story have still more warmth.
