My mother inlaw had a stroke and is making great progress. I’m sure this has helped. Plus it’s so boring in a room or on a ward. Mental stimulation is imperative to rerouting the brain after a stroke according to the stroke association and medical journals, however nothing is done in The ward to push that

This will challenge you on your affected side, use a thick pen and give yourself time, do it everyday to encourage neuroplasticity working through the fingers, hand and arm.

I brought this for my mother who recently had a stroke-it has improved her hand to eye co- ordination and also helped with her memory too
I’d highly recommend this book in order to help with stroke recovery.
Great value

This is genuinely my first ever review on Amazon, simply because the outcome has never meant so much. This activity book has been so important in helping my dad gain better use of his previously paralysed arm after his stroke. Tracing has helped him gain more control and copying shapes, even though he doesn’t recognise them all, gives him great pride when he shows me his progress. I would highly recommend as a ‘back to basics’ activity for someone who has gone through something so traumatic and trying to get themselves back on track to their ‘new normal’

A family member had 2 x strokes unable to speak properly ,bought this as a shot in the dark. Cannot believe how well my relative has responded and been able to write, copy symbols link words unscramble words. Local occupational therapists have taken note of this book to notify their other stroke patients .

On the whole this book is simple enough to get brain damage patients started on the road to recovery but spelling mistakes such as telivision instead of television are confusing.
Tracing numbers, letters and shapes, matching pairs, copying patters etc are good.

This is a great book for stroke victims to help get back their cognitive senses. Very simple drawing exercises that gradually get a little harder as you progress through the book and gain back your drawing and writing skills. I was recommended this for my partner by the Stroke Association and would thoroughly endorse this recommendation
