I have to say, I absolutely love this book! I am about to become a student this September and before I read this I had no confidence in the kitchen whatsoever! After reading this, I feel more comfortable in trying to cook and knowing how not to kill myself with salmonella. I definitely recommend this to students as well as people who aren’t students as it has a great deal of quality information which is useful to everyone. It also has a good mixture of meals which is great for people who may be health conscious to people who only have 5 minutes to prepare and eat a meal!

The one thing I wasn’t too fond of was the fact that it is all black and white inside but to be honest it didn’t really matter to me that much! It’s still worth the money! Please don’t let that put you off.

there’s quite a lot of introduction type basics, like what to prepare, what to do. and not enough recipes. but i do suppose this is a “For dummies” series….! i was just expecting more recipes. but otherwise, clear instructions, offers meal ideas for budget-conscious students. and very informative.

Bought this for my son at uni and he has used a few recipes already. Loved the toad in the hole and sticky chicken ideas.

The student cookbook for dummies is just as good for us oldies who live alone. The book is full of useful tips as well as recipes. The tips encourage you to think up fresh recipes as well as using the ones in the book. The price makes it one of the best steals on the market and it is very useful for families who on seeing the title think it’s not for me. Believe me you could use it to feed the five thousand.

Absolutely amazed at how this book looks like new, hoping it will be a massive help for my son while he is away at University.

After purchasing this book for my sister who is incapable of even making toast, I was very disappointed with what I have received. The product was described as being “very good condition”, however there are stains throughout the book and tea stains on the back. Now my sister cannot take this to university and will most certainly burn down her accommodation when trying to boil an egg.
