This book is good. Recommended by my daughter’s violin teacher so we had already seen the book. All instructions are repeated in different languages;so on first impression it looks like a substantial book, then I felt disappointed at content but when I read it properly it is actually very good for teaching music notes and where to put fingers and how to stand and hold violin properly. my daughter is six. To be used alongside a violin teacher I would say!

It has picture of Posture and the bow hold. Very good for younger children. Suggest to buy book without CD as you can find songs in YouTube.

Book and CD is as expected but delivery not good. Book was folded and creased from being forced into the post box here. Not happy as the book is damaged now

I bought this book, after reading reviews, and decided to find a suzuki teacher to teach me as well. The suzuki method is good for young kids like 3-5 years. it teaches you to memorise the song,and to play by ear. Violin is my second musical instrument, and i think the suzuki method is good as a revision for me. What the teacher did with me is to play the song on the CD and let me try to play the music on the violin by ear. Later we revise by looking at the notes in the book.

Really like this book so far compared to other beginner books this tops them because it has pictures to give better understanding and notes through the book that help, I’ve gone back to playing as an adult and find this book much less childish but easy enough to use of you were a child or a parent looking at helping your child this might have a few pointers that can help thoroughly happy with this product thanks!

Recommended by my daughter’s violin teacher.
It comes with a CD of the music and she’s been using it to practice for the last few days.
Some odd songs on there in my opinion but songs that she clearly enjoys learning and playing.
As always the ease of purchasing online won over try to find it cheaper anywhere else.
