A little out of date but a great help for the level 3 certificate in supporting teaching and learning in schools

I wasn’t expecting the large amount of annotation in the text – the previous owner had used highlighters in virtually every section. This was not the condition I was lead to expect and I wouldn’t have bought it at such a high price if I’d known.

This book explains things in very good detail. So depending on your rate and pace of grasping meanings and concept, this is the perfect one for you! Its full of examples and explains each chapter in good detail, which will fulfill the requirements for each unit.

I bought this book for references to help me with my Teaching Assistant course, it’s a good book but when it arrived it almost looked like it had been handled and possibly read before, but I just couldn’t be asked to send it back as I had so much studying to do in so little time. Other than that I would still recommend this book to anyone who wishes to be a Teaching Assistant.

I am currently studying for my level three teaching assistant qualification and this book was recommended by my tutor, and she was right this book I affectionately call “the bible” it is that useful and I agree with my tutor this book is invaluable to anyone undertaking this course.

I bought this to refer to whilst studying for my Level 3 STL Diploma and found it to be a useful resource when needing prompts to turn in assignments etc. It is up to date with 2010 QCF and refers to the National Occupational Standards throughout. It has been one of my essential companions and I will keep it nearby as a handy reference to refresh my memory,

I have just started the Diploma in supporting & teaching in secondary,i found this book very helpful as extra reading resource material alongside the text book we have to use. It covers all the units just in a bit more detail – i did hunt through the index at the back of the book to see if information was in other sections too and there was esp for the communication unit,so well worth looking while making your notes!
Good book to have alongside the diploma handbook we use & provided you reference properly you can quote from it too unlike our textbook, maybe worth checking with your assessors on how they prefer it referenced as there are a variety of ways.
