Interesting facts and insight into the annual passage of the natural world with everything practical from growers monthly planting times derived from Moon phases to whimsical folklore, passages from poetry and even sea shanties tied to time and tide ! How the past speaks to the present rooted in nature is grounding and endlessly informative, everyone I’ve ever given a copy becomes obsessed and it’s top of my list for gifting every year now. A must read and loved companion for the year. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I just love The Almanac! It’s been my constant seasonal companion every year since 2017 and I wouldn’t be without it! It really helps you to get the most out of every month in each season- noticing snd enjoying everything in the heavens, the countryside, your garden, and Nature in general.
It’s full of indispensable information helping you to mark and celebrate the seasons with recipes, traditions, festivals and all manner of other details – tracing tides, moon phases and weather patterns. It just adds so much richness to life!
It’s a fascinating and absorbing little book helping me to experience many magical
moments as I move through the year. This Almanac is truly the best – beautifully researched, written and illustrated – clearly with a lot of love and passion!

This is such a beautiful little book. We get it as a gift for my father in law, a keen gardener, every year. It’s useful, interesting and aesthetically pleasing to look at and touch. I’m often tempted to get one for myself, even though gardening isn’t my thing, because there are so many fascinating things in to read in here! Highly recommend, makes a wonderful gift!
