What a fantastic find! This is perfect to help with introducing life story work to adopted toddlers. I like how the forever family aren’t gender specific so suitable for more situations than other similar books.

Bought this to help with 2 children that we had fostered who moved to an adoptive family. They had experienced a tough time as little ones but we wanted to help their forever family too by giving them something to read together that might help to explain a little bit about the emotions surrounding the whole situation. This is a very sensible little story about two little bears who had been treated badly and moved into a foster home and eventually into a forever adoptive home. It explains simply how some proper care and love can repair some of the hurt and they emerge , without realising it , much happier little ones! All foster carers should have a copy handy!

This is a lovely story. Telling the story of 2 bears that were taken into care and an adoptive family that take them in. Great to help explain the process of adoption to a little one xx

Lovely story, and I love the analogy of the blankets as support whilst the bears’ fur grows back. My boy loves this, and it supports his understanding of his story. More like this please!
