Discover the joy that awaits when you set yourself free…

Sasha is well and truly over it all: work (all-consuming), friendships (on the back burner), sex-life (non-existent). Sasha has hit a brick wall (literally).

Armed with good intentions to drink kale smoothies, try yoga and find solitude, she heads to the Devon resort she loved as a child. But it’s off-season, the hotel is falling apart and now she has to share the beach with someone else: a grumpy, stressed-out guy called Finn. How can she commune with nature when he’s sitting on a rock, watching her? Especially when they don’t agree on burnout cures. (Sasha: manifesting, wild swimming, secret chocolate bars; Finn: drinking whisky.)

But when curious messages start appearing on the beach, Sasha and Finn are forced to begin talking – about everything. What’s the mystery? Why are they both burned out? What exactly is ‘manifesting’, anyway?

They might discover that they have more in common than they think…

I’ve loved every single Sophie Kinsella’s book and I’ve love this one. Perfect relaxing read, funny, lots of great observations on modern life and society. I definitely recommend.

I loved this book right from the beginning. As always, a great mix of comedy and lovable relatable characters and a heartwarming story. I have read all Sophie’s books, I will always love the shopaholic series most of all but I love how different all her stand alone books are. I get so immersed in Sophie’s books and this one was no different,
I couldn’t put it down and I was willing them to get together at the end.

This story and style is very different to the raucous comedy I’m used to from this marvellous author but what a wonderful story, with fabulous characters….Herbert, Nicholas, Cassidy, Terry and Simon I will miss you all Finn and Sasha I loved your story and the journey you went on to heal which resonated loudly with me. I didn’t expect my tears….Terry’s words made me cry and there were so many poignant moments that made me feel a swell of emotion or laugh out loud! Thank you Miss Kinsella. A departure from your usual style but a delightful tale nonetheless.

I found this book tedious. I only read the first quarter and then sent it to Charity shop

Loved this book! I think we need a follow on second book, maybe a series like the shopaholic books. Fantastic!

Bought this after a positive review in a Sunday paper, and having enjoyed some of Ms Kinsellas previous works. However, the main character is just silly. So silly you wish she was real so that you could seek her out and give her head a wobble. Couldn’t even get halfway through the book, so annoying were the entire cast of characters. I think Ms Kinsella has let herself down with this book.
