One member of our Bible Study Group suggested to us that we do this six week study on the Case for a Creator. As there are no scientists within the group there was some hesitation at first, but we decided to attempt it and greatly benefited from doing it. In the end everyone said how helpful and inspiring the study was.

We actually covered the six week study in three weeks by making use of the DVD and by preparing our own notes and questions using the Study booklet and also the book itself. Taking time to consider the greatness and vastness of the universe, with its amazing fine tuning, followed by a study of the human cell and the knowledge stored in our DNA, was absolutely mind blowing. The Christian belief that the God who made all this should come into our world and be crucified by the creatures He had made, so that they might be reconciled to God, left the group feeling humbled and inspired to worship.

Lee Strobel takes the reader through his journey from atheist to believer in God, sharing the interviews with scientists that took him on the journey in an easy manner that makes the reader feel a bit like a fly on the wall. The scientific insights into the reality of God and Creation are fascinating and good to share with others. I have given copies of this book to friends as presents since reading it myself as the knowledge it contains is eye-opening.

Strobel’s book is most readable and non technical. Yet it points out the important fact that science is showing the design in living systems, something that is acknowledged by many scientists.

Yet this is being rejected on principle by many other scientists . In the UK the government has refused to allow the evidence for intelligent design to be taught in schools on the grounds that evolution is understood and intelligent design isn’t!

I had no idea this would be anti-evolution.

Mr Strobel knows how to build a story. He asks questions from various ‘experts’ and then (ironically) takes their views as gospel. As it is supposed to be scientific, I would have preffered it to be more thorough. If you read a book on ‘ghost sightings’ you will see a similiar attempt at unarguable ‘proof’…various examples where no good alternative seems possible. But then, just try asking those in the know to come up with counter arguments…It’s easy, as an amateur, to read a bit of ‘science’ and just take it as ‘fact’.
I am a theist but this is not the way to find God…

In fairness, I understand that some people DO disagree with Darwinism. In which case, you will think this review harsh. If so, then you may find the book well written- it is- and easy to read: but be aware that it is entirely bias and bares no true representation of true scientific research. Method is so important. Any serious attempt at method has been thrown out here. Like many journalists, he’s good at making a story…even at the cost of thorough detective work.

Lee strobels ‘sequel’ to case for christ. If you have read the case for christ the style is similar. Taking on the most difficult concepts and topics but putting them in an essay to read fashion within a story like set of interviews.

In this book he tackles the touch topics of creation and the creator. Touching on the origin of the world on simple easy to understand terms. Tough topics on physics and philosophy together. For example the multiverse theory explored, the big bag and how this all fits in the Christian faith.

Lee strobel is a fantastic author and would encourge anyone, Christian or non Christian to pick up his books and read the thoughts and facts.

    A must read for anyone

This a book for all Christians who have difficulty countering the aetheist arguments that science has rendered religion meaningless. Lee Strobel examines the evidence in a masterly fashion, interviewing a number of experts with impecable academic credentials, and concludes that the credibility of religion is enhanced rather than diminished by the existing stste of scientific knowledge.

I really enjoy this book. However I have another serious reason for writing to you.

I wanted to purchase a map of Turkey recently to help my wife and I with our forthcoming holiday. However, somehow when I tried to cancel my ordering, MULTIPLE ordering appeared in the ‘shopping basket’ and I can’t find the way to remove them and start again.

PLEASE COULD YOU REMOVE ALL THE ITEMS IN THE SHOPPING BASKET or tell me how to do it?

    Yours sincerely,

    Gerald Brooke.

(I am an old man and need help – please)

This is a brilliant book written by a journalist so It is engaging and easy to read although it has a lot of scientific stuff in it. He had turned away from faith in God thinking believing that science had disproved religion but decided to investigate it and probably write a book to put forward that thesis. He talked to a great number of eminent scientists and came to a different conclusion.
